Andy Dieing hit everyone hard, he was a brother to all of us, especially me and Kelly we were all so close them becoming firefighters and me become the PFO at 51, I knew after my father died in the line of duty and my mom later dying in a car crash, then living with the Severide's after I and Kelly got married, that I had to be part of this house one way or another. As my girls were called out I decided to stay back and do some paperwork in my little office, but knowing we had a tour today I decided to go out and see the little kiddies. Passing Otis on my way there I say, "aren't you suppose to be supervising some first graders?" "Yeah well Peter Mills are new candidate, has got it covered now," he told me walking into the kitchen. I walked out to the apparatus floor seeing Kelly and Matt bickering in front of the children and Peter Mills with a confused look on his face."You know kids they make the helmets special for these firefighters here so they can fit their big heads into them," I told them, I turned to both men," Don't make this pissing contest affect everyone in this house, I mean the both of you get over yourselves" As Mills distracted the kids again talking about the Pass alarm, and Matt walking away shaking his head, Kelly looked at me"Hey, you know this big head is all yours, right?""That's all you got from what I just said," I told him while sitting in his lap, he just shrugged at me, "why can't you guys just get along, like the good ole days, its getting exusting" "When he gets his head out of his ass," he tells me, "Squad doesn't vent""Who cares Kelly" getting off him I give him a smirk, "wanna meet me in the turnout's closet?" We arrive at the scene after the ambulance and truck I rush out going over to my girls"What do we got" "Mother and daughter trapped. Both responsive" Matt tells me Gabby asked the young girl,"Can you hear me?" "Madeline," Matt tells Dawson"Madeline? Are you hurt, honey" the little girl nods, "ok where does it hurt""My body," she says softly. "We got a fuel leak!" I hear Herrmann say"Ok, you mean your tummy or your chest?" I ask her now"My chest," she says, her mother who is getting escorted to Shay says, "Madeline, mommy loves you, everything is going to be ok" I then look over to hear Mouch say "He's in the water!" Someone asked who he responded with, "the driver. He was ejected" I looked to Dawson and told her"I'm going to go wait with squad and treat the man in the water, you ok here with her?" She shakes her head and tells me to go. I hear chief tell Squad to do a dive so I stand over the edge trying to look ready for the injured man to treat him. Just as Kelly is about to hit the water we hear, "Cancel the dive, no ones in the water" Mouch looked upset so I told him that it was a good call. When I get back over to the girls I hear them talking "Whoa, whoa, whoa, look at her jugular. It's Beck's triad. Come on, sweetie. Gentle." I rush over"Hey get her to the hospital" as were rushing to the ambo, "Dawson" I shout, she looks back at me, "do what you have to do ok? And get me my paperwork" she shakes her head as I shut the doors and they are off. I walk back over to squad as they are packing up "hey mind giving this lovely lady a ride back" "I don't know lady, I don't think my wife would like that" Kelly says jokingly "I think she would be ok with it this one time" "Alright hope in" I get in the front seat " as hot as you are your not sitting in my seat, move in the back." When we get back I jump out of Squad and walk away as the boys have another pissing contest, Kelly catches me in the hall, "hey when the rig gets back can you get me something, please?""Kelly come on, I could lose my job" he starts to kiss my neck"I know Mo but I just need this please" giving into those eyes I look at him"Fine, but even though we've been married for like 10 years or something I feel like your just using me for drugs and I don't really like that in a partner" I start to walk away as he catches me again putting his hands on my cheeks "Hey you know I love you, I'm sorry you feel like I'm using you but you know I can't lose this job and..." I cut him off "I know Kelly you tell me every time, but please someone is going to get hurt and I don't know what I would do if I lost you too" I finally walk away going to my office putting my hear down on the desk until I hear my girls come back. I walk up to Shay, "hey I need the bottle for Kelly" I whisper to her and she gives me a look "I know I already told him, but...""I know, just we can't keep giving him this much""I know ill have to figure something out, or maybe ill hold out on him, see what that does," I tell her laughing as I walk to the restrooms to meet Kelly, giving him the bottle, "Kelly no more I'm serious" he sakes his head kissing me before I walk out. NEXT SHIFT:"Hey Peter Mills" I yell to him as I walk out to the apparatus floor"Avalon Morgan, right?" He asks me and I nod."Our friend, Shay, she's been asking about you," I told him Dawson adds,"Mhmm, been talking about you all morning""I heard she's a monster" Otis goes on to say, "dude I know a guy over at 19, he waled with a hitch for a week." But Mills still doesn't believe us so Herrmann adds,"Listen to me, kid. I just lost my house to foreclosure because I took a bath in the market. We're now living with my in-laws, which is two bedrooms shy of unpleasant. My wife won't take her birth control because the pope said if she did, god would cry, so I'm not having any sex. So if there is any chance I could live vicariously through you, it's all I got." He goes over to her and asks her out and when she says she's gay we all laugh."Morgan which one of your girls put a needled in the girl's heart?" chief yells, our smiles instantly drop I nod to the girls to follow me with Boden leading us, "tell me what happened" "Her heart was stopping, and we pulled over, and I did what I had to do," she tells chief I back her up with,"I told her before she left to do what she had to do chief I gave the ok""Well chief surgeon at Lakeshore disagrees" he looks to gabby, "Do you know who your union rep is?""What?" I shake my head at him"Get him involved right now, just as a precaution. Maybe this goes away but just in case it doesn't, you three stick together" he walks away from us I go lay down until I smell delicious food, it's then that I notice Matt was cooking he looks up at me,"Go tell squad that chows ready" I shake my head walking outside when I get there I run my hands over Severide's chest from behind"So Matt wants me to tell you all that food is ready""Matt cooked?" Sev asked me, I shake my head already knowing this wasn't going to go well. I followed him inside being behind him in line he grabs an orange and walks away I sigh following him, to find him sitting in front of the engine smoking a cigar"You good?" I ask as I sit next to him "Yup" he replies hanging me the cigar as I take a puff Matt walks out to us"What the hell is going on? Are you ok? Because if your not, maybe you need to-""You think I need your help?""I'm trying here, Severide.""Keep on," he told Matt "I cleaned out Darden's locker" Casey shakes his head "you should have vented the back""Were called rescue squad, Casey. We don't vent. You shouldn't have put Andy through that window." Kelly says as I sigh getting his attention "I don't have to explain myself to you. I sleep like a baby. You?" Matt walks away this time, Kelly looking at me now, "what""You only sleep like a baby because I'm next to you asshat" I stand to look at him "I need you to get your arm looked at Kelly. He looks up at me "I will" I shake my head knowing he's lying, "I will, Mo""Yeah sure," I whisper walking away. As Boden leaves to go do the Drop A Cop, truck goes for a ride, I walk over to Hadley and Capp and ask "    Is that Otis?" They shake their heads laughing, Kelly comes over to listen we hear Otis say,"Boden looks like a heat-seeking missile as he climbs in the ring to take on captain Olmstead from the C.P.D. Olmstead, of course, looks like the quivering cop slob that he is" we all laugh "Chief Boden first won back in 1992 when he was part of the esteemed truck 81, the greatest truck in all of Chicago. There goes the bell, and here we go. Takes two quick jabs to the noes. Oh, he falls back into the ropes. One, two, there to the chin. Bodes in double already folks. Wait. Here it comes. Building fire.241 Franklin Street.Ambulance 61, engine 51.}I run to the ambo, "Ambulance 61 responding" as we arrive we start to treat people I look to the chief, "Were going to need more ambos" as we're still working I hear mayday over the radio that a firefighter is down so they all pull together to get Casey and Herrmann out. When we get him on the gurney he tells us that,"I'm okay""Yeah your going to be ok Herrmann" I nod to him as Dawson listens to his hear she looks at me and says"Tension Pneumothorax" she looks at me scared"Don't think, Do it" she puts the needle in his heart, "Help me get him inside" I told the firefighters around us. Unfortunately, we had to drop him off so we return to 51, I find Severide in his quarters "when the shift is over I'm going to go to the hospital for Herrmann" "Okay""You going to come with me, I could use a ride" he swings in his chair"Maybe""Let me know by the end of shift Kelly, I think you should come with us show everyone your more than an asshole" "You know for my wife you very mean to me""You knew this when you married me, tough love baby tough love" when the shift ends he
comes to me with a piece of Casey's roast in his hand he nods to me, and we meet everyone there I go over to the girls and gabby tells me"Casey asked about that little girl, Madeline" I shake my head "she's getting released at the end of the week""That's amazing news Gabby, you made the right call" and we all just now wait to hear anything on Herrmann.
