Virgil was thrown up against the wall.
"Leave me alone!" He sobbed.
"Shut up!" Deceit hissed. "You need to pay for your failures Paranoia!"
"P-Please! I'll do anything!" Virgil said.
Deceit smirked. "Anything?" His creepy snake tongue licked his lips.

Virgil's eyes blinked open. It was a horrible nightmare. The kind that when you wake it takes a moment for the terror to kick in.
Well boy did the terror kick in fast. He took fast breathes, and put his head in his hands.
"Its ok...your safe...He's not here." Virgil whispered to himself. He rocked himself back and forth, shivering in his blanket.

The walls seemed to close in on him. The curtains felt like they were getting closer, wrapping around him and constricting his movements-
Virgil bolted out of bed and his room. He closed the door, and breathed hard.

It was evening in the mindscape, and the halls were dimly lit. Virgil ran his hand along the wall as he made his way to the kitchen. His throat felt so dry, as if he had screamed just as much in his dream in real life. He sighed as he filled a glass with tap water and drank it desperately.

"Good evening Anxiety,"

Virgil looked over the counter to see Logic on the couch with a lamp dimly lit. He was surrounded by books and notes, and his hair was a bit messy.
"L-Logan? What are you doing up?" Virgil asked.
"Research," Logan said simply. "You don't think I'm smart naturally do you?"
"O-Of course not," Virgil said. "B-But your always telling Thomas to sleep, have a schedule. And here you are staying up all night?"
"I can handle it." Logan said. He stood up, straight and firm. He didn't seem tried at all somehow. "What about you? Why are you up?"
"O-Oh! I just, uh, got thirsty!" Virgil lied. "And I wasn't very tired-"
"Your eye bags state otherwise." Logan said. "You should go back to bed."
"I-I'm fine!" Virgil cried. "I-In fact! I could stay up all night!"

Virgil sat on the couch next to Logan. "So what are you reading?"
"Nothing that would interest you." Logan said, head high.
"Try me!"
"Well, Thomas recently expressed an interest in getting a dog. So I'm doing research on breeds of dogs that would best fit him and his schedule."
Virgil yawned.
Logan smirked at him. "Tired?"
"No way," Virgil smirked back. "Lemme see what breeds you chose."
"So far I have a beagle," Logan held up a photo.
"Heh, cute..." Virgil leaned his head on Logan's shoulder.
Logan's calm voice was putting him to sleep. He closed his eyes to blink, but they didn't open back up. Virgil was out like a light.

Logan chuckled.
"I knew you were tired," he said quietly to the sleeping Side. "But I can't help but wonder what had you up to begin with..."
Anxiety squirmed in his sleep, nuzzling into Logan's shoulder. Logan blushed heavily.
I'm not in love, he repeated to himself. I'm not in love, I'm not in love-
Logan yawned. Anxiety was so comfy, and he couldn't help but lean back on the him. His eyes drooped and he dropped the photo of the dog he was holding.
His last thought before he fell into rest was,

Shit...

I'm in Love.
