Chapter 2. New companions

Nobody's POV:

As everyone has settled down and collected their selves they all introduced each other.

Pharaoh's POV:

"Ok, now that we're all not screaming in my ear." I quickly glanced at the brunette before continuing, "Why don't we introduce our selves?" "I'll go first, my name, or rather temporary name is the Pharaoh."

"Wait, so you're not Yugi Moto?"

I look around to see its the same brunette who was talking to me or rather screaming in my face earlier.

"Well its kinda complicated, why not tell us your name?"

The boy looks a little embarrassed, maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on him. He looks around Yugi's age, and as I inspect him more it seems he's a duelist with his deck in his pocket. In fact it seems like everyone here is a duelist, I wonder if we woke up in a tournament. Won't be the first time I was forced to duel some random people.

"My name is Jaden Yuki, it's nice to meet you."

"Huh, well it's nice to meet you Jaden." I reached out my hand in order to shake his. He excitingly shakes back.

"Well if we are going to be here I may as well also introduced myself."

As me and Jaden look to the back of us we see the dark haired blue boy speak from earlier.

"My name is Yusei Fudo, and I hope to become accustomed to you all."

As soon as he finished all the other duelist started to introduce themselves.

"I'm Yuya! It's a pleasure to meet you!"

"My name is Yuga!"

I'm Yusaku, nice to meet you all."

"My name Yuma, I hope we can be great friends!"

"Wait, wait, wait!" Jaden exclaims, "Am I the only one here who name doesn't start with Yu!?"

To be honest I was thinking the same thing, and now everyone is just standing there embarrassed. Kinda weird now that I think about..

(Hey Yugi, what do you think?)

(Yugi? Are you there?)

Strange, Yugi usually answer. Maybe he's sleeping in the puzzle, he has been studying all night so I don't blame him. As everyone is talking to each other I decide to take a closer inspection on where exactly are we.

It all seems familiar, the walls look abandoned with vines and cracks on them, the air is cold and seems to have dark energy to it, in fact it looks a lot like my soul room. But instead of the clean silver walls it's all dark and looks like something out of a horror movie.

"Well, it looks like you all are up."

Wait who was that!? It sounded like a female, maybe a 13 year old. An evil laugh fills the room, making everyone on edge.
"Who are you? Show yourself!" Yusei shouts, "What do you want and why have you bring us here?"

"Heh, well I like your personality. I just want to play a game, do you accept my challenge?"

"A game? You just brought us here for a game?"

I starting to feel a little uneasy, Yusei looks like a guy I don't want to get on his bad side. Jaden goes to Yusei to calm him down, saying it's probably nothing to worry about. I wish I could think the same thing, but something about the dark energy here tells me we're in danger.

"You guys are sure of a unique bunch, I hope you all are more fun than my other opponent's."

Opponents? "What type of game do you have for us?" I don't know who we're dealing with, but I know she probably not here to play patty cake.

"Heh, heh, heh. Well I'm surprised, the king of games here? I should've clean this place if I knew you were coming."

I grab on to the millennial puzzle, I've been in too many situations like this.

"The game I'm proposing is an obstacle course."

An obstacle course? Hmm... I really don't like where this is going...

"Just an obstacle course? That's it?" Yuma questions, pretty confused like the rest of us.

"Correct, nothing more nothing less."

"Well show us who you are, I want to know the person who is going to be our game host."

"Ok, but I should warn you. You may be surprised when I reveal who I am."

"Yeah yeah, are coming or not?"

"Hm, I see you're impatient. Good to know."

Yuma turns to us "Hey guys do you know what she talking about?"

Yuka, Yuya, and Jaden shrugs their shoulders.

"Yell I might have a idea what she means." Yusaku exclaims, "I think she may be studying us, maybe using what she's learning about us to design the obstacle course."

"Wow Yusaku! How do you come up with that!?" Yuga says, amazed at Yusaku.

"Well it's kinda obvious with what she said.." Yusaku states, a little shocked that Yuga didn't knew.

"Oh..." Yuga, now clearly embarrassed by the redness of his cheeks.

"Hm, maybe the future generation of duelist is not as great as I thought they would be."

What!? I turn around to see the voice is coming behind me.

"Right Pharaoh?"
