Roman let out a breath,getting another transphobic comment from his parents. Remus was silently raging in the corner.

"And of course Remus couldn't do anything wrong. He's not one of those gay or trans freaks,is he?" His mother asked Remus.

Remus shook his head,lying. Remus was only out to Roman and his friends group, all of whom were LGBTQ+.

Secretly,Remus was asexual and homoromantic,not that he would ever tell his parents. For all his parents knew,he was as straight as a line.

His mother,Rosemary Prince and his father,Hal Prince,believed in basic gender roles. The girls were to stay home and cook and clean while the males went to work,the women are supposed to be the emotional ones and the men were supposed to hide them. (Sorry,I was venting here)

"Now,Rose." Roman's mother turned to Roman, "You go do your chores." She said. Roman grumbled but did as he was told.

"And go put on a dress. That's not what girls wear." His mother added at the last second. She was referring to the t-shirt and shorts he was wearing.

Roman rolled his eyes but knew he would be yelled at if he didn't. He changed into a long red dress with white and gold laces.

The dress went down to his ankles. Roman absolutely hated short dresses,they made him dysphoric as hell-.

He went back downstairs and did his chores. "Now that you're done,you can go up to your room and not be a bother." His dad said.

Roman winced at the tone but went upstairs anyways. Remus bit his lip. "Are you alright,dear?" His mother asked him. "Hm? Yeah,I'm fine." Remus lied.

His mother nodded. Remus went upstairs to his and Roman's shared room.

Roman was crying silently. Remus went over to him and instantly hugged him. Roman hugged Remus back.

"W-why do th-they hate m-me..?" Roman mumbled quietly. Remus sighed softly, "I don't know,Ro." He whispered.

Roman wiped his tears away after a while. "Are you going to be okay?" Remus asked him.

He nodded, "Yeah..I'll get through it." Roman replied.

He would pull through,especially with Remus and his friends there. Roman would make it.
