Triggers: Uhhh- pushing heteronormativiry on your kid (cause his mom is a bitch)
Virgil had come out to his mom. She had been accepting..or so he thought. You see,Virgil was aromantic and asexual.
His mom didn't understand until Virgil explained what it meant.
"Oh honey, look at that pretty girl over there. Are you sure you dont like her?" His mother asked him. Virgil stared at his mom.
"Mom,you know I'm aromantic. I don't like people romantically." He said. His mom nodded, "Oh...right,I forgot." She lied.
Virgil sighed and put his hands in his pockets. He knew that his mom was lying but didn't say anything.
"What about him?" Virgil's mom said.
"Mom,you know I don't like people romantically. I told you this literally five seconds ago." He said.
Virgil's mom sighed, "If you're so determined on being the thing you call 'aromantic' and 'asexual, then I won't point out anymore girls."
Virgil was silent but nodded, not saying anything. He hated when his mom did this, all he wanted was for her to be accepting...or at least try to understand.
Did his mom ever try? No,no she didn't. Was she ever going to try and learn to be accepting? No.
Virgil just had to learn to live with it,and that's what he was going to do.
