Chapter 39.

Hi loves, just a little message before we get into this chapter:

First I just wanna say thank you for supporting this book and the long journey we've been on. As I stated before this book is coming to an end and I'm sad but excited at the same time. Ending this book is going to allow me to focus on this new book I've been putting together.

With that being said I have another message, I've been on wattpad for so long and I feel like I deserve more out of it. I've spent so much time and put in so much creativity for my books and it's time I get paid for the work I put in. I want to complete this book and enter to become a wattpad star so my book can become part of the paid community. I want to be recognized for all my creativity and hard work. If this is what death is supposed to be like then it was definitely not what I imagined. I was engulfed in darkness floating in the air. Light faint beeping noises filled my ears. I wonder if this what I deserved, if this was my punishment for having my boss's baby or for treating Paul so terribly when I first met him. Maybe my karma was to be ripped away from Payton as she was barely a week old.

This sucks.

Maybe where I was headed the decision was still being looked over. What if they declared me with having unfinished business on earth? I imagined this part very much like the movies and I don't even know why.

Suddenly the beeping noises started to disturb the peace in this gulf of darkness. I felt a pull on my body leading me in a direction. It was heading towards the beeping noises. I could see a small faint light in the distance.

"Haley?" Someone called out and I swore I could feel my heart jump just a little.

Oh my god...

Im here. I desperately wanted to shout but I just felt so disconnected with my body.

"Haley if you could hear me wiggle a finger." They spoke once again.

I wailed my arms like a mad woman but somehow I don't think it was connecting to the person talking to me.

"She's still unresponsive at the moment. All we can do is wait."

No! I'm here! Please hear me!

I began to cry but nothing was falling out of my eyes. I was still floating in the air, crying non existent tears, and utterly disconnected from my body.

Things went silent for a while. I tried to close my eyes to escape the darkness but it was no use. Behind the eyelids was dark as well.

A soft wailing sound filled my ears. It made me jerk into an upright position. Payton. It had to be her. Oh baby I'm so sorry.

The wailing got louder and I began to cry again. Something touched my cheek and I raised my hand to see what it was. Tears. Actual tears were falling on my cheek.

Before I could get into my next thought my body jerked so hard and my eyes shot open. I blinked a couple of times trying to clear my vision. All I saw was a small round white light above me.

"Paul get the doctor!"

I heard feet shuffling before the door was whipped open. I coughed a little and moved slightly trying to gain feeling in my body.

"Haley.. my name is Dr. Brendan how are you feeling?" A doctor rushed in and came to my side.

"A-a l-lit-tle..." I trailed off not being able to form the complete words.
