Today was my birthday and we were having a small get together at my house. I was putting the candles on the cake as everyone gathered around. I was officially 19 it pretty much felt the same.
"I love youuuu!" Emilia said coming up and hugging me. "You're all grown up now." She fake cried.
I laughed. "Hit me up when I turn 20." I say. "I'll open gifts after this." I say to everyone.
"Alright let's sing happy birthday to my baby girl." My mom said holding up her phone in which I assumed she was recording.
I smiled and laughed as they began to sing me happy birthday. It was a little out of tune but it was the thought that counts.
Stefan walked up to me holding a bag and smiling. Seeing him made think about the wild night we had shared. I keeping thinking about what came over me to make prey on him the way I did.
"Uh the gift table is over there." I say raising an eyebrow.
"This is for you to open on your own time." He handed me the bag. "I hope you love it."
"I'm sure I will." I said tucking a hair behind my ear. "Should I expect you to run off tonight?" I say.
He sighed. "I hope not. I've been in and out of meetings with my legal team and it's stressing me out."
"Remind me that I have to tell you something later on." I say referring to the way Mia and my cousin stared at each other. Something was eating at me trying to warn me.
"Okay sure." He was about to lean down and kiss but my mom interrupted.
"Haley come on it's gift time!"

I sat in the middle of the couch opening gifts. My mom and Paul invited a few of their coworkers over to help celebrate as well. I was going to invite the girls I had met at the pregnancy group a while back but instead we planned to meet up after I had the baby. And surprisingly Mrs. Raymond and her husband a shown up as well.
Most the gifts practically contained stuff for the baby so I guess you could consider this a bday/ baby shower. I wasn't complaining at all mainly because I received a whole bunch of outfits, diapers, wipes, baby wash, etc. It had saved me the shopping I had yet to do.
I know I'm terrible for not shopping yet!
Truth was I had some stuff already just not as much as you should considering how far along I am.
"I just want to thank all you for coming today and buying me all of this stuff. It means a lot to me." I say to everyone.
Everyone went back to listening to music and eating on the food we had provided. I actually really enjoyed my day.
"Oh my god Haley look!" Emilia ran up to me shoving her phone into my hands. "You're on the freaking internet."
