22. It's You

Mara can't believe her eyes. Her Mr. Deep Gazing Eyes is beside her. Josh was still sleeping, and Mara was taking her time looking at his face. She remembered those times in Boston when she always found Josh's gaze familiar. And that she feels the same connection with Josh then.

Josh opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Mara staring at him. "You look like you want to have me for breakfast?!"

Mara's face turned red. "You wish! But how can this be? Do you already know I was referring to you when we were in Boston?"

"Um, yes," Josh kissed Mara's hand and winked at her.

Mara was trying to bite Josh's arms when Josh instead pulled her body towards his. Then, he started kissing her shoulders, going towards her lips.

"What are you doing?" Mara pouted her lips and rolled her eyes.

Josh didn't mind her reaction and pulled her under the bedcovers. "I'll have my breakfast here! Let us sleep some more. It's too early to be awake now."

The loud ringing of the hotel room's phone awakened Mara.

"Are you guys not coming down for breakfast? We only have an hour now." Rich exclaimed on the other line.

"I just woke up, best friend! Josh is still sleeping. You can go ahead."

"Okay then. Also, I might take a walk around. Just message me if you need me."

"Sure. Enjoy your breakfast."

Looking at how sleepy Josh was, Mara thought how crazy his schedule must have been for the past weeks. He will wait for Josh to wake up; she wants him to get all the rest he can get.

"How long have you been awake? Are you not hungry yet?" Josh asked Mara when he woke up.

"I had coffee," Mara answered without removing her eyes from the newspaper in her hand. "Breakfast time downstairs is over now. What do you want?"

"Let us order for here. Is there any place in particular that you want to go to? Then, we can go out for lunch. Let us ask Rich to join us." Josh said as he got up from bed and put on his boxers.

Mara's eyes grew as she watched Josh flex his muscles. Then, when her eyes locked with his and his lips curved a teasing smile, she looked away. Then, unable to think of anything else to say and to hide her embarrassment, she spoke the first thing that came to mind.

"I want to see the spot where you had coffee in the video."

"We can have lunch in the same place where we ate." Josh bit his lip as he walked toward her. "How would you like that?"

Knowing the meaning behind Josh's lustful gesture, Mara also bit her lip. "I would love that!"

When Josh reached for her hand, she didn't hesitate. Instead, a soft giggle came out of her when he whispered in her ear. "Let's shower together to help save water."

After breakfast, they prepared to go out. Rich loudness couldn't hide his excitement when Mara told him they were going out. Though he lived in Korea for a while, he never had the chance to go to Jeju. So, just like Mara, it is his first time to be in Jeju. Josh and Mara agreed they would reveal everything to Rich during lunch.

"Wait! What?! You mean the soulmate you have been dying to meet is Josh?!" Rich pouted his mouth in exaggeration after hearing Mara's revelation of Josh's identity.

Mara nodded with a wicked smile on her face. She is sure Rich can see the happiness on her face.

Rich patted himself on the shoulder. "Well, I guess you have me to thank. If not for my world peace aura, you would have ended with Josh as an enemy."

Mara nodded in agreement, laughing. "Yeah! You can say that! Thank you very much, my best friend!" 

Rich couldn't stop talking. "I am your fairy godmother! Do you know how popular Josh is? But you will be one of the most hated women in Korea! And your competition is worldwide!"

Josh walked toward them after planning for their lunch and joined the two as they looked over the sea view in front of where they were.

"What is this competition I am hearing about right now?" He slowly pulled Mara towards him and wrapped his arms around her as he sat beside her.

"Well, well, well!" Rich clapped his hands. "Look who we have here! That's why I remember telling you and Jang before that you look familiar."

Mara cupped Josh's face and stared at him. "I realized now why I didn't recognize you easily. You have your hair covered in the video. And when we saw you in the game, your hair wasn't covered. But your eyes are the same."

As Mara mentioned his eyes, Josh gave Mara a deep gaze and acted like he was seducing her.

"What are you doing?" Mara smirked.

Rich sees what the two are doing in front of him. "OMG, the two of you are killing me with jealousy! I didn't come here to be the third wheel! I am confident you wouldn't have gotten the chance if Josh had seen me first!" Rich rolled his eyes at Mara. "Right, Josh?"

Josh and Mara responded with a loud and funny laugh.

The three of them spent the day enjoying a local Jeju lunch spread. Josh had them tag along as he did a few hours of fishing. Rich's warm and funny stories delighted them. Everyone in the fishing boat laughed and enjoyed. It was one happy and relaxing afternoon for Josh. He realized that everything he did before, like going out to the sea and fishing, was more fulfilling and enjoyable with Mara beside him.

Mara can't contain her happiness at spending the entire afternoon with Josh and Rich. The entire time they were together, Josh never failed to show Mara how much he cares for her. 

How can this one famous guy love the simple things in life? Mara asked herself.

Since it was a tiring afternoon, they stayed inside their rooms for the night. Rich reflected on the afternoon, that was. He was genuinely happy for both Mara and Josh.

The next day is another work day for Josh. He still has two more days before he can take his off for the holidays. He can't wait to be free from his work schedule because he wants to be with Mara the whole time she is in Jeju.

As Josh goes to his location for the day, Jang arranges for Mara and Rich to be brought to Josh's vacation house from the hotel. They all decided that Mara and Rich would stay in the vacation house for the rest of their stay on the Jeju islands.
