BEN smiled at his now-husband. Kai smiled back and kissed him gently. The reception had ended and most people were drunk. Jeff had sung a song, but now he was passed out in his room.
They both headed upstairs and BEN grabbed Kai's hand. Kai held back and they entered the room. Their bags were packed and there was a small bracelet on each. It was silver and seemed to sheen.
"What're those?" Kai asked inquisitively, picking up the bracelet and twirling it around. The sheen seemed purple and strange.
"Those," BEN said, picking up his own, "Are Visors. They change us back to normal so that, when we're in public, we don't need to use makeup."
"Huh." Kai slid on his own and so did BEN. BEN looked at Kai to see two grey-green eyes staring back. His skin was still pale, just not dead-pale. He had slight bags under his eyes.
Kai saw a grey eyed boy staring back. His eyes were wide, like a little kids, and he had the height of one. His skin was a healthy glow and his smile seemed a bit more crooked. His blonde hair was shorter and hung over his head in an emo like style.
Something came to Kai's mind and he pulled off his studded bracelets. The ugly, red scars were gone. He marvelled at it before turning back to BEN.
"Damn, this is...we look so different." Kai laughed.
"Never knew you were always so pale." BEN raised an eyebrow and grinned. Kai glared.
"Hey, I'm from Scotland and I never went outside, it checks out!" Kai phony-shoved him and smiled.
"We should change, after all, we need to go on our honeymoon!" BEN smiled and looked through his cupboard.
"Oh, god, you're not gonna wear your tunic around actual, living humans?" Kai puffed and bit back a grin.
"'Course not! I have actual clothes, y'know?" BEN pulled some clothes out and pulled off his jacket and shirt. Kai stared a bit before pulling out some clothes himself.
BEN was wearing one of Kai's AC-DC hoodies that Trender made him, so it was overly baggy, a pair of dark-grey jeans and converse. He had a green beanie over his hair.
"I thought you said you had your own clothes, huh?" Kai crosses his arms. He was wearing a Green Day t-shirt that was really baggy tucked into black jeans so it went over it a lot and black boots.
"It's comfy!!" BEN snuggled close to it and Kai chuckled. Kai turned around to look in the mirror and ringed his eyes in black a bit. He smiled.
BEN picked up his bag and Kai picked up his. BEN pulled Kai into the screen and looked about. BEN came across a screen at the airport and looked into it. Nobody was around. He deactivated all the cameras before stepping out. Kai went with him.
"Over here, c'mon, Kai." BEN said, pulling him to the queue.
(Bam ton a plane shit, I haven't been on one in years)
They boarded the plane, sitting next to each other. Luckily, nobody else booked the seat beside them. Somehow, Slender had managed to get first class, so they could watch movies.
"Ooh! Can we watch Phantom Menace?" BEN asked, excited. Kai smiled.
"Uh, duh, who wouldn't want to? Don't we have to wait for the safety thing?" Kai asked, not really sure.
"Oh, yeah. It'll take five minutes." BEN smiled and nodded. Kai held his hand.
After the safety demonstration, they turned on the movie and put in earphones. BEN hummed to the theme tune slightly. Kai smiled at him and watched it, interested.
Someone came and tapped Kai on the shoulder. She looked like a typical Karen, with her haircut and phony smile. He knew something was gonna happen. He paused the film, causing BEN to look up.
"Hi there. I just want to ask you to stop that, it's making me and my kids uncomfortable." She said in her nasally voice.
"Uh...stop what?" Kai asked, looking at her with an eyebrow raised. She scrunched up her nose, making her look even more like a pig.
"Stop that." She said thickly, pointing at their hands. They got the gist: she was uncomfortable with them holding hands.
"Uh, holding hands?" BEN asked, confused and kinda annoyed.
"Yes, it's unnatural. You both need to return to God and he will forgive your sins." The woman obviously thought she was doing right. Kai felt the anger radiating off of BEN so he decided to speak.
"Ma'am, I'm not going to stop holding hands with my husband because it makes you uncomfortable. Please leave." Kai was calm even though he was so close to beating the shit out of her.
"Ugh, you're married to that?" She sounded offended.
"My husband is not an it, ma'am. I have tried to tell you to leave, this is basically harassment. Please leave." Kai's voice had a strong hint of anger. People were staring now, whispering to the people beside them.
Somebody had called over a stewardess. She walked over in her tall heels, worry planted on her face. "I've had complaints, can you please tell me what's happened?"
"Sorry, but we don't know this person and she came over and told me and my husband to stop holding hands because it's making her uncomfortable and it's a sin. Can you please make her leave?" Kai asked and the stewardess nodded.
"Ma'am, go back to your seat, now." The stewardess said and the woman looked slightly scared. She scuttled off to the other end of the plane. "Newlyweds?" They both nodded and she congratulated them before heading off.
"What a drama." BEN said, giggling. It sounded less glitch with the bracelet. "You were about to punch her at the end there."
"You were about to punch her when she said stop holding hands!" Kai laughed and put his earphone back in, turning on the film.
