Sneaking Out

It's quiet tonight. Perfect for sneaking out to Lila. Earlier today I was in the map room, looking for the Wolves' base, and I found the most likely place. The Highstones.

I climbed over my window, and scaled down the building until I reached the ground. At the bottom was my motorcycle. Once I was outside of the Nation's gates, I fired it up.

After an hour or two of riding, I finally spotted the Wolves' base. That was a lucky guess. I saw many guards patrolling the main building, but only one guard at the entrance of the prison. This is way too easy. I calmly snuck up to the guard, put my hand over his mouth, and knocked him out. "Lila!" I whispered as I slipped into the prison, and locked the door.

"Jason?" a voice asked. I turned and ran to the cell that the voice was coming from. Lila was standing at the barred window. "What-"

"Shhh, I'm getting you out of here," I told her as I got out my lock picking tools and started on the cell door's lock. "I have a way to double-cross the Wolves. The bomb I'll bring won't be the right one. While they admire it, I'll plant some bombs, find you, and then the Nation will blow up everything," I explained. There was silence at her end. "So there isn't a 'yay, I'm going to be free!' from you?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm going to go free," Lila said. I could tell that her voice was strained. There was a thumping on the main prison door. Lila's eyes widened, "The guards know you're here. You need to go." I threw down my tools, and ran to the side door.

As I opened the door, I turned back towards Lila, "I'll free you, I swear." The main door broke open and guards ran into the prison. I looked at Lila one more time, and then ran without looking back.
