I sat in my room, motionless. My mind just kept rewinding the last conversation I had with Lila. To make matters worse, I couldn't seem to let my emotions out. I couldn't cry or have a dark moment. It's been this way for a week.
There was a knock on my door, and after a minute the knocker walked in. It was Madison. She sat down on my bed and put an arm around me, "Lila cared for you. I thought you should hear that coming out of someone else's mouth." I didn't reply. "She was a Wolf and the Wolves never want to be separated from their kin. It's against their very nature," Madison said. "You saved many lives today. Our soldiers could of been killed in many upcoming battles against the Wolves if you didn't blow up their base." Finally, something made the tears flood. I was able to cry. Cry for the loss of Lila and for the fallen soldiers. For gratitude that the Wolves are gone, but all the same, just cry.
