The chuckle of the Leader's Shadow soon faded as the lights of the room changed to a slightly darker blue similar to the color theme of the Velvet Room, distracting the Thieves and giving him the chance to dissappear back into the shadows of his own palace.
As the group noticed that he has dissappeared, they looked around the room confused, trying to spot him again. Since they couldn't find him though, they decided to find a Safe Room and discuss their current situation instead. After everyone agreed to that, they walked out of the room they were guided to and noticed that the atmosphere has lifted slightly; it wasn't as thick anymore, so it was more comfortable to be walking around. Even though it was now more comfortable, it still gave each one of them a shiver down the spine.
"Hey, look over there.", their Navigator suddenly said, pointing to a room. It seemed like a Safe Room, the room they were looking for.
Skull smiled and was the first to reply to her discovery "Ay thanks, Oracle!"
The rest then nodded in approval and smiled as well, before going into the room.Opening the door, they all took a seat and started the discussion; Panther being the first one to talk.
"So this is his palace... I don't know what I expected" she said as she crossed her legs. After she finished her sentence, Mona was next to follow; "I know it's pretty shocking, but we have to do this."
"Mona-chan's right! But what game was he talking about...?" Noir then asked the others with her usual quiet voice. "We'll just have to find that out on our way.", Queen then followed up, before Fox joined in on the conversation as well; "Indeed, let's find out what has tarnished his heart and change it."
"Hell yeah! We gonna save him!" Skull then cheered with his loud voice once more, as the others then stood up. "Maybe we should come here tomorrow again, we shouldn't waste too much energy." Oracle suggested and got the approval of the group. They all went back to the entrance in a fast pace to not get caught and left the palace in silence.------
Meanwhile the Thieves have been infiltrating the palace... A yet unknown person has been roaming through the streets of the city, still undiscovered and hidden in the shadows. He hid himself under a dark hoody to stay unnoticed from society, and for some reason this unknown person has never taken any step near the Café LeBlanc, as if avoiding it.
As he was near the train station of Shibuya, he saw the group just coming out of a train exhausted. At that moment as he saw the Thieves like that, he knew something was going on.
That something wasn't right, and that he would have to fix it.The young man then turned around with a quick movement to not gain their attention and walked into a quiet alleyway, a bit far away of the group, to take off the hood which was covering his head. Revealing neck length brown hair with bangs and reddish-brown eyes under the hood he has been wearing all the time, he sighed loudly before he spoke to himself in a quiet way to make sure nobody would be eavesdropping on him;
"𝘛𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴..."
