; chapter one
     —"Why did you leave?"

"You've been missing out school for more than three days, when will you stop locking yourself up in your room?"

Same as usual, since it actually never changed. Seian was sitting on his room's couch, trying to watch a series quietly in his television, yet his sister isn't even letting him be. She's wearing a gray loose shirt and high-waisted pants. The ash-gray hair that she got from the salon recently, actually quite suite her. Her height is above average, closing up to Seian's. She has porcelain white skin as if she never went out of the house. She has almond shaped eyes that she got from their father, while Seian actually got his slightly slanted eyes from their mother. Her face got that fierce look that makes her look so mature.

Carlyle Sofhia is actually pretty for her own good, but Seian would rather die than to admit that.

"And you know I won't forget how you didn't even tell me what happened to you three days ago," she said in front of him, with arms crossed.

Seian flinched a little that didn't escape from his sister's eyes. He subconsciously turned his glance towards a small paper bag at the corner of his room, he looked away immediately after. Carlyle saw the dark bags under his eyes that shows how he couldn't sleep for days. Her brows furrowed into curiosity but didn't push through. A red flag.

"What is it with you," he said with a low voice, trying to sound nonchalantly.

"Hello? I'm your twin, I ought to know."

"God, stop pulling that twin card. It's annoying," he frowned. "And you know that won't work on me."

"Oh, shut up," she rolled her eyes. "Fine. I won't ask since you don't even actually tell me anything decent," her face grimaced, Seian nearly snorted a laugh. "Just go down and have breakfast with us. Aunt Chloe actually misses you. Cut me some slack and just get your ass down, okay?"

She left the room, Seian heaving a sigh. Flashes of pictures transitioned through his mind, he shivered. He tried to shrug that feeling away, he closed his eyes shut. "Stop," he whispered, biting his bottom lip; popping his fingers out of anxiety.

Maybe he needs fresh air. Right. He couldn't sleep well because of damned insomnia. Perhaps it'll be great to, at least, attend a day of school. He sighed and stood up. Grabbed a black shirt and jeans, since their school isn't the type to have uniforms. He changed and noticed how the marks around his neck are not that visible, only if no one would intently stare at it. Seian sighed but let it be. He wouldn't care less about shits people would talk about him. He went down.

The house is quite big for Seian's liking. It's too big that it feels empty. When he saw a pair of a maid's eyes, the latter gasped and immediately walked towards him. "Young master, it's great to see you for breakfast. Madame is actually waiting to see you," the maid happily said.

"I told you to stop with the 'young master' shit and just call me by my name. It's tiresome to even hear," he said, slightly pissed.
