; chapter four
— "You can always be fragile with me."
"What? I won't kidnap you and ask for ransom, you know."
Seian actually rolled his eyes from the man's words. Vaughn opened his car's door, inviting Seian to the shotgun seat. "You are certainly weird. Inviting someone you don't even know. What's your deal actually?" he crossed his arms.
The man clicked his tongue and leaned by his car. He gazed at Seian with a little playful stare. "Why not? You seem someone I can vibe with."
"That, is really, certainly weird," he grimaced. "Going with someone you can vibe with? What's with that excuse?"
Vaughn shrugged. "You had sex with someone you seem to vibe with, aren't I right? Put me in that line of thought—"
"Listen, if you just wanted to fuck with me, you should've say so—"
"But not that I meant that I would like to have sex with you," the man finished. Seian clenched his fists, pissed.
"This is really stupid, I'm out of here—"
The strong hand stopped him from leaving. He turned his head to the man, locked gazes as if he couldn't break through. "Hey," the man softly called. "I mean no harm, I promise you. Just one ride, you might even like my company. Who knows?"
Seian's brows almost met, still uncertain with the man's words. How could he trust him with just like that? Is he stupid? However, he really might've been stupid, because he doesn't know what happened but he just found himself inside a neat ride; beside the man who he only knows by his first name.
How thrilling could this situation get?
"Finally convinced you."
He heard the man said. He rolled his eyes and crossed his legs. "Where are we even going?"
He saw how the man smiled, a sweet, sweet smile. Seian would've punch his face to get it off his face, it was somehow annoying.
"Don't worry, I have someplace in mind."
—
It might have been more than an hour but the ride was amazingly smooth. The car was something like a limited edition with all its beautiful features. Soft songs were played as the ride went on, it was soothing to the ears. The silence between themselves was weirdly comforting. Seian couldn't deny, he needed this ride.
He needed an escape. A road to let out and unwind. Despite having a stranger as a company, it wasn't so bad after all.
Seian stared at his side, beyond the window. Amused with the city lights and random people in the streets. The sky was ethereal, a scene he couldn't help but adore. He was startled when the window suddenly went down, removing the gap between him and the beauty outside. He turned to the man beside him, who was smiling like a child.
