~A few days later~
Today is Monday, the start of internships. I walked to school in the rain, bending the water away from me. I changed my shoes and walked to class to get my suit. The racks were already open with a few of my classmates searching for their costumes.
"Hmm, mine was 17..." I murmured as I walked to the far end. I grabbed the suitcase labeled "17" and walked out. I opened it just to make sure that it was mine and continued on my way.
"You already found yours?" asked Kaminari as he jogged up to me.
"Yeah, I wrote down when number it was when I got it," I responded.
"Cool, it took me a while to find mine..." He admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.
I laughed at this and we continued making small talk.
~~~~at the station~~~~
"You all have your suits, right?" Mr. Aizawa asked the class once we were all gathered. "Remember, you don't have permission to wear them out in public yet. Don't lose them."
"Gotcha!" Mina said.
"Speak properly, it's 'Yes sir', Ashido." Sensei corrected.
"Yessir..." she pouted.
"Make sure you mind your manners with the other heroes during your internships."
"pshhh, I won't have to worry. Kei won't be that bad about it. He barely uses manners himself." I whisper-laughed to myself.
"You got something to say, Takami?"
"N-No, sir!"
"Good, now, get to it."
"Yessir!" the class responded. We all went on our separate ways, some went left, some went right, some went down the middle, but me, I went outside cause I'm qUiRkY and diFFeReNt and most definitely nOt LiKe oThEr GiRls. I didn't feel like taking the train, so I had decided to fly.
"Hey~" I heard.
"Oh, Hi Kei- I mean, Hawks," I said turning around to face my older brother.
"So, internships have officially started...let's go." he spread his wings and flew off towards his agency.
"Hehe, my wings are bigger!" I yelled after him.
"SHUT UP!" he called back.
"Hehe, never!!!" I yelled, launching myself into the air. I soon caught up to him, though. "Hey, what are we gonna be doing for this next week?"
"You're going to be joining me on my missions to get a taste of what it feels like to be a real hero!" He said, flipping over to glide on his back with his hands on the back of his head.
"Smooth, real smooth Keigo," I said.
"Hey! Don't why are you calling me by my real name? Why not Kei?" he pouted.
"Because we are being professional," I said, straightening an invisible tie.
"Okay Miss 'I'm so professional', we're here," he said, diving down to land on the sidewalk next to the agency. I soon followed but with a flashier entrance. I landed with the wind swirling around me, pretty epic if I do say so myself.
"Wow, so cool..." Keigo said while slow clapping.
"Why thank you," I bowed
"Hah, let's go in," he grabbed my shoulders and lead me inside. It was a large, maroon hall with black chandeliers hanging from the roof. There were posters of famous pro-heroes hanging on the walls, large ones at that. Not surprisingly, most of them were of Endeavor. There was also a large receptionist desk in the right-hand corner closest to us. There was a bunch of couches and TVs all around the room for guests, and a bunch of mini-fridges that were probably full of chicken. There was a large black carpet that covered most of the white, marble floors.
"Wow, edgy," I said.
"Hey! This is modern, thank you very much!" he shoved me.
"I wasn't saying that it wasn't modern, it's just really edgy!" I rubbed my shoulder. "And that hurt!"
"Good, let's get you checked in." He dragged me over to the long desk and called over a pretty woman that looked about his age.
"How can I help you Hawks?"
"I need to check my sis- I mean, my intern in." He said.
"Oh, alright." She turned to me. "What's your hero name?"
"Soshi," I replied.
"Cool name." She commented, typing into a computer."And, there. You're free to go."
"Thanks, Jane," Keigo responded, tapping the desk as he walked away. I quickly waved at Jane and ran after my brother.
"Alright, I have at least one mission every day for the next few weeks, and you will be accompanying me on the ones you can." The blond said, looking over his shoulder at me.
"Yeah, yeah, you told me this already..." I grumbled.
"I know, I just like to be annoying," he responded.
'Oh yeah? Two can play at that game,' I puffed out my wings to twice their normal size and walked up beside him, purposely brushing up against his arm. He glared at me and did the same thing.
"Mine are still bigger!" I jeered between laughs.
"Shut it!" he yelled and stormed off down the hall. I quickly followed him as he pushed open a door labeled "Hawks" and waved me in.
"Here is my office, nice isn't it?" He waved a hand around the room.
"Woah..." I walked over to the window and looked out at the bustling streets below. "Damn, that's a pretty far fall..."
"Yep," I soon heard a window open and turned around. Kei was nowhere in sight. I ran to the spun-open window and looked around. He was free-falling towards the bright city streets.
"Hawks! What the fuck do you think you're doing?!" I yelled.
"Oh, I didn't see you there! I'm relaxing. C'mon, the mission is going to start in, like, 30 minutes!" He yelled back. I quickly grabbed my suitcase and ran to the bathroom that was conveniently attached to the office. I pushed open the door and locked it behind me. After I changed into my hero suit, I threw myself out the window to meet up with Kei.
I twisted around in mid-air so that I could actually find him. He was sitting on a rooftop eating chicken about 5 blocks away. I spun around again and shot towards him. As a whipped around the buildings, I saw all the different kinds of quirks that people had. Some people could levitate things, someone had a cat head, some other people had random things as hands, and many others.
"So, kid, you finally made it," Kei said as I landed beside him. "Want some chicken?"
"No," I sat down. "But when is this mission gonna start? I'm bored."
"Soon, you got here in about 10 minutes, so we have enough time to eat."
I groaned and fell back onto the roof. This was going to be a long and boring week.
...sorry about this short-ass chapter, I'll try to make them longer in the future. I was just really uninspired.
Peace Out!
