chapter 4
As I’m walking down the hall, carrying a tray of cookies I sneaked, I hear a really loud and high pitched squeal. I drop the cookies off in my room and go to see where the squeal came from. I’m lead to the lobby and see a young girl in a pink dress run up to Master Ciel to give him a hug. He swings her around once in surprise to keep steady before setting her back down.
“Ciel! I missed you so much!” She squeals in joy. I look at them in confusion, never having seen this girl before. Some of the other staff have gathered as well. I can see Bardroy exit the kitchen, looking a little worried upon seeing the little blonde. She looks over at me and then back at ciel.
“who’s she?” She asks. Ciel closes his eyes with a sigh and Sebastian steps forward, putting on a pleasant smile.
“That is Alex…” he thinks for a moment. “Alexandra, commonly referred to as Alex in the manor.”
The little blonde nods and rushes over, her pink dress flowing behind her. She examins me quickly in thought. Not knowing what to do, I send Sebastian a questionable look. he motions to just stand there, so that’s what I do. She smiles up at me with a nod of finality.
“I have a dress that will look just adorable on you!” she exclaims excitedly. I look horrified.
“A dress?” she giggles and nods. I can see realization cross her eyes as she turns to sebastian, running back up to where him and Ciel stand at the stairs.
“That reminds me! Sebastian, I got you this! To match the other one,” She states with a smile. She stands up on her toes to put a blue bonnet on him. He smiles kindly.
“Thank you, Lady Elizabeth,” he says in a gracious tone. I look at him then start laughing. A hand covers my mouth and I jump back in surprise. Bardroy crosses his arms, leaning over to whisper.
“Keep quie’, you’re probably next. Besides, you really don’ wan’ to upset ‘er,” he whispers harshly.
“Why?” I ask, still having no clue who this girl is.
“She is master Ciel’s fiance. Lady Elizabeth Midford,” says a voice. I turn around to see Tanaka, full height and everything. I learned from Mey Rin about a week ago that he’s like this on rare occasions, since he has such a low amount of energy. Wait a minute, fiance? Master is going to be married to that? I start to walk away when Elizabeth stops me and hands me a dress.
“Wha’s this for?” I ask. She gives me a closed eye smile, clapping her hands together.
“We’re going to have a ball! Now go get changed, you’re going to look so cute! Bardroy! I have an outfit for you too!” She calls as she runs after him. I sigh and take the dress to my room, putting it on slowly. It’s a long, purple dress that puffs out at the skirt. It reaches about floor length and is decorated with little blue ribbons on the sleeve and a blue sash in the middle. I slip on my combat boots, missing my pants already. There’s a knock at the door and I turn around as Bardroy walks in.
“Alex would you ‘urry-” he freezes when he looks at me. I sigh.
“I know, I look ridiculous,” I groan. He shakes his head, still looking at me. He steps over and smirks.
“Ye look beau’iful,” he compliments. I blush slightly, looking away.
“No I don’,” I argue. He chuckles lightly.
“Yea you do, besides, be’er than wha’ I ‘ave to wear.” I look over and examine him. he’s wearing a light green blazer on top of a white dress shirt. His pants are the same shade of green. Instead of a tie, he has a yellow bow, which looks really uncomfortable. He looks ridiculous.
