Chapter 4- The Mission Part 2

Numbani 20 mins before the attack (D.Va Pov)

We arrived at Numbani around midday, Reinhardt had us split up into two teams. He had Angela and myself go to the museum while he and Genji would go and check with the authorities to see if anyone had seen any of Talons operatives.

After Reinhardt an Genji went off, Angela and myself walked into the museum, I quickly set my mech up in an are where I could access it quickly and began to look around while Angela spoke with the guy in charge trying to convince him to close the museum for the day, I saw two kids looking at the gauntlet we were supposed to be guarding and decided to go talk to them.

(D.Va): "Hello"

I said in a cheery tone. As the two boys turned around the older ones eyes light up in joy while the other one just looked at me confused.

(Kid 1): "Ar-are you D.Va"

(Kid 2): "Who?"

(Kid 1): "You know D.Va that famous South Korean streamer"

(Kid 2): "Oooh, never heard of you sorry"

(D.Va): "That's okay I was just wondering what you's were looking at?"

I was just wanting to talk to people to try and pass the time until the fun began. The younger one of the two to seemed to light up at my question

(Kid 2): "We were just looking at stuff to do with the old hero's and the group overwatch"

(Kid 1): "Yeah my brother is big into them"

(D.Va): "Wow, well that's pretty cool"

I said wishing I could tell them I was apart of overwatch and that we were back but I remember what soldier 76 said about how we weren't supposed to be reformed due to some stupid act

(Kid 1): "Why are you here though?"

(D.Va): "Well I got some time off so I decided to come here for a holiday for a video blog of the place"

(Kid 1): "Cool, well it was nice to talk to you bye"

The kid said as his younger brother was already dragging him off to go look at other exhibits, I smiled and waved after them before walking around and looking at all there was to see in the exhibit.

Time skip 5 minutes before the attack

Whilst walking around I saw this guy in a black coat walking around with what looked like a striped hyena, I actually did a double take because A) I didn't think pets were aloud in here and B) why does a guy have a hyena as a pet, so I was about to go over to him when Reinhardt called in.

(Reinhardt): "Hana?"

(D.Va): "Yeah, what's up?"

(Reinhardt): "Bad news I'm afraid"

(D.Va): "why, what's u-"

Boom!!!

An explosion went off sending me over a display case and landing on the other side.

(Reinhardt): "HANA WHAT WAS THAT ARE YOU OK?'

(D.Va): "I'm fine but I have to go Talon is here, get to us with Genji as soon as you can"

(Reinhardt): "Ok we're on our way be careful"

(D.Va): "You too"

I quickly pulled my pistol out and began firing on the incoming Talon agents killing some and wounding others, after a minute of this exchange I made a run to get to my mech as I was running low on ammo, I tried to contact Mercy but all I got in response was static. Just as I reached my mech a second explosion went off throw me to the ground and damaging my mech I looked and saw Reaper standing over me and all I could hear becide the ringing in my ears was his laugh.

Y/N (POV)

Both kids look at each other nervously, so I motioned to Cerberus with my hand and he went over to them and began to nosy around the pair of them. The kids giggle at this and pattted him lightly before thanking me and going of to look at something else.

The next moment I was thrown to the floor by a massive explosion and when I look up I had a clear view into the Doomfist exhibit and I some weird wreck of a pink mech suit and a girl in an even weirder blue, pink and white Spandex just lying on the floor seemingly unconscious, above her stood some man in black with a skull face and shot gun in both hands.

(Shit)

I thought to myself contemplating on either leaving this situation or helping , but I didn't owe the girl anything but as I looked over again I felt something tighten in my gut and I sighed.

(Y/N): "Cerberus,get the girl and get her out of here I'll deal with Mr dominatrix"

Cerberus looked at then nodes as I got up And drew my guns smiling to myself.

(Y/N): "No rest for the living I guess"

I muttered to myself as I got ready for a fight.

(Y/N): "OI GOTH BOY OVER HERE"

I shouted before firing of two shots from my guns one clipped his mask while the other hit his shoulders, I heard him grunt before ducking behind cover as he began to fire on me,

'shit I need to get him too move for Cerberus'

I thought to myself as I waited for the right moment to return fire and get the masked man to move. But as luck had it I heard him laughing as well as coming towards where I had ducked behind, I waited fives steps shots ringing around my cover, four I hear more men coming in, at three steps away spring up surprising him and fire four shouts of my own (two from each gun) two hit him square in the chest a planned while the other ones hit two of his goons in the head grabbing the remaining six's attention, I saw Cerberus dragging the girl to safety and began to fall back further into the room to buy him more time.
