Chapter 6- Aftermath

Numbani Museum 10 mins after the collapse D.Va's POV:

As I came too I felt something cold and went nuzzling and pushing on face. As I opened my eyes I saw a Hyena looking at me.

(D.Va): "Gaahh!"

The Hyena backed up a bit from my yelp and I noticed it's ears droop down and it look at the floor almost as if it was sad.

(D.Va): "Hey I'm sorry you just startled me that's all."

I said whilst holding out my hand out to it, the Hyena looked up at me then sniffed my hand and seemed to brighten up a bit. I then heard Mercy calling for me.

(Mercy): "There you are Hana, I was worried about you?"

Mercy said to me with a tone of both care and concern she also seemed a bit annoyed.

(D.Va): "Mercy I'm fine honestly"

(Mercy): "Are you sure, you know you shouldn't have ran of like that"

(D.Va): "I'm sorry but honestly I'm fine"

(Mercy): " Okay, so who's your new friend?"

(D.Va): "I don't know all I can guess is that he pulled me out of the museum"

Just then the Hyena ran off in the direction of an ally, I thought about letting it go but then Mercy mentioned something about finding his owner so I ran after him to bring him back so we could try and find his rightful owner.

Numbani Museum 5Mins after the collapse Y/N POV:

'I have to get back to the apartment' was all I could think to myself as I half walked half limped away from the kid I had helped out, the rebar was still in my side as I clutched it in one hand whilst I used the other to support my self.

As I looked back I saw a faint trail of blood behind me, the pain was excruciating but all I could think about was making it to the apartment and making sure Cerberus was safe.

As I rounded a corner into a dark ally my vision began to blur and my body started to get heavy, to the point where each step felt like I was walking in quicksand. Eventually I collapsed near a dumpster.

(Y/N): Pant "Sorry Cerberus"

(Y/N): pant "But it looks like" pant

(Y/N): pant "This might be " groan

(Y/N): Ahh "It for me"

Just as I said that I felt a familiar nose push against me and heard that oh so saddening laugh.

(Y/N): "H-hey buddy" sigh

I could barely see him at this point but I knew where he was and began to pet him.

(Y/N): "I-I'm sorry..."

(Y/N): "But your going to have to find a new family n-no-now"

Just as my hand fell to the ground and darkness filled my vision I heared a scream and all I could think was who?

(D.Va's POV)

As I made my way around the corner into the alleyway I saw it nuzzling a person. At first I thought he may now both the hyena and it's owner and I was going to ask him but he suddenly went limp.

(D.Va): "MERCY!" I screamed as I ran to go check on the person's, by now the hyena was pushing him with its nose.

I recognized the person as the one who was with the hyena before but he was bleeding badly and had a massive piece of metal was going right through him.

Mercy POV:

I was talking to two young boys that had been in the museum to see if they were okay.

(D.Va): "MERCY!" I heard Hanna scream my name and quickly ran to the ally I saw her go down after the hyena.

(Mercy): "What is it Hanna are you o" I couldn't finish my sentence because what I saw before me was horrifying.

The hyena that was with her before was now trying to get the attention of a man who was riddled in bullet wounds and had what appeared to be a rebar running right through him. At first i thought he was dead until I noticed that he was faintly breathing.

(D.Va): "We have to help him"

I heared her say.

(Mercy): " I agree Hanna but a normal hospital may not be able to treat his injuries, but I don't think it's safe for us to take him with us." I told her .

(D.Va): "WE CANT JUST LET HIM DIE HERE WE'RE MENT TO BE HERO'S"

(Mercy): "Hanna I understand but we can't just bring every injures person's back to the base we are still outlawed you know that"

(D.Va): "Still we can't just leave home here"

I saw the determination in her eyes and I new she wasn't going to drop this.

(Mercy): *Sigh* 'Jack isn't going to like this' "Alright we will bring him back for medical treatment but that's all understood" I saw her brighten up and nod.

(Mercy): "Right now help me get him up and to the airship"

(D.Va): "Okay and thanks Angela"

(Mercy): "Not in public Hanna!"

D.Va POV:

As we approached the person's the hyena took a defensive stance and started to growl at us like it was going to attack us. I tried to calm it down so that we could take the man with us.

(D.Va): "Easy there we want to help him, please we can take him and you somewhere where we can treat him and save his life but you need to at least trust us" I said while giving it a smile and holding my hand palm up so it could sniff it.

Once it did it stopped growling an fallowed us to lift the man up and take him to the air ship, with it following us all the way.

As we got bear to it we saw Reinhardt and Genji as they came running up to us once they saw the man and hyena.

(Genji): "What are yous doing bringing him and the hyena with us?"

(Mercy): "Genji he's severely injured and needs immediate medical attention one that a hospital can't provide"

(Reinhardt): "Then what are we waiting for let's get him on and go Angela please begin treating him once he is on the jet, Genji assist her as best you can."

(D.Va): "What should I do?" I asked not sure if I should try to help Angela or not.

(Reinhardt): "Ahh D.va try to keep the hyena occupied until we get to base"

(D.Va): "okay"

(Genji): " Does no one else think it's serif he has a hyena as a pet"

We all just looked at Genji blankly as there was more pressing things to worry about other than the fact he owned a hyena.

(Genji): "Right never mind"

We were soon taking off and heading back to Watchpoint Gibraltar. All I could think about was why he had his hyena save me.
