Being a Ghost isn't as easy as you think it is...
Every October Ghosts are required to Haunt a living being, whether the person is a family member, a close friend or some random person... Well, that doesn't matter. If a Ghost fails to Haunt someone, they will be sent to the Underworld where all their fears will come to reality and they would never have the pleasure of being half-alive ever again.
Who assigns the person you're supposed to Haunt?
Well, no one knows. Ghosts just know on the first of October who they're supposed to find and Haunt. It's almost like an instinct.
Now, Haunting isn't as scary as it sounds... In fact, it's actually quite fun!
You get "assigned" a living person to follow around and make sure they are safe for a full year. (So basically, from one October to the next October which would be in a year's time.) Then after that year, you get assigned another person and the cycle starts again.
But what if you get too attached to the person you are Haunting?

It was a cool Autumn morning. The sun was just starting to rise, sending brilliant colours splashing against the clouds. Finis had spent the evening playing around with street lamps by making them flicker. He found this quite entertaining. (Hence why he did it for over 7 hours.)
Finis knew it was the 1st of October and he was extremely excited to get his first Haunting assigned. He knew all the rules thanks to fellow Ghosts he met in the town of Charrault. It was a peaceful town filled with coffee shops, cobblestone pathways and in the distance there were flower fields galore. Finis loved the flower fields... He found them so colourful and it made him feel warm inside.
5am on the dot.
Finis' instincts took him towards a cottage in Charrault. It was quite easy to get there since he could just glide through all the walls and blockages he came across.
59 Fleur Lane.
It was a small cottage, two storeys high and it had plants growing over the front as if the place hadn't been cleaned in years. Finis glided through the door and saw-
'Dain?!'
