chapter 2

Gracie's POV
"Thanks for the ride home call me if you need me okay?" Aaron calls out

"Ya of course text me later, love you Aaron"

"I love you too"

I know that it's only about a 5 minute drive to my house from Aaron's but I wish it was longer. For the past two weeks my parents have been arguing nonstop and I can never stand them yelling at each other, I usually just stay at Aaron's house but I need to make sure nothing happens to my mom while im gone. Oh great...home sweet home. Please just this one time let there not be arguing please.

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT YOU MAKE NO MONEY STEFANIE AND JUST EXPECT TO SPEND MINE!" my dad screams

"Goodness," I mumble "I thought I asked for no fighting tonight..."

"YOU KNOW WHAT BRAD, I HAVE A JOB! IT'S YOU SPENDING ALL OUR MONEY TO GO OUT AND GAMBLE!" my mom screams back

"MOM! DAD! I'm home!"

I hear my mom start to come down the stairs as I sit on the coach and grab my laptop from the coffee table

"Hi sweetie, how was your day?" my mom asks as she kisses me on the forhead

"Good, Aaron and I just hung out and went and got food"

"That's good, I was thinking that you and I could have a mother-daughter day tommorow" she says as she sits next to me "we can get our nails done and we could go to the mall and maybe get something to eat?"

"Sounds good" I say as I look at her and give her a little smile

About 10 minutes later after I finish looking through my tumblr feed I hear my dad coming down the stairs. Sure, I love my dad and he used to treat my mom good when they first got married but he wasn't really there for me or my mom when I was around 10 he was always going on buissness trips and was never home.

"Hi sweetheart."

"Hi dad. Why do you look so nice? Are you going out?"

"Yes, just going to dinner with a couple of my buissness partners"

"Oh okay. Well have fun"

I honestly knew that my parents were going to get a divorce soon. They don't even sleep in the same room anymore, I was probably going to live with my mom and we were going to live in this house. My dad would end up moving somewhere across the country or always travel to different places for his buissness. I just really need to clear my mind about this whole thing. So I head up to the shower where I usually can clear my thoughts. After my shower I decide to text Aaron and see what he's up to.

me: hey dork

brother ❤️: whats up weirdo?

me: well you know the usual, walking into the house with my parents arguing and then going on my laptop and then taking a shower then talk to a dork

brother ❤️: hey you're pretty much stuck with me for the rest of your life so dont complain

me: i know homie well im tired and i've got alot to do tomorrow goodnight love you Aaron

brother❤️: alright love you too Gracie

I went to sleep thinking about Aaron and how lucky I was to have him in my life. What would I do without him?
