Fables

chapter seven

The world around me went black once more. I have the falling feeling again but this time I just close my eyes.  When I open them I see I am outside in a forest. The same forest I went to in my first dream.  I was in a different part of it though in a clearing that was sunny and full of grass. I felt relaxed and calm.  I sit up still in the same clothes from the first dream."I better get home. "I say to myself.  I get up and start to head to the old over grown path.

I go a little way when I hear a twig snap.  I turn around to see no one behind me. I look all around me in the tree line for any one.  I suddenly hear breathing behind me. I slowly turn around and see him. I face the huge beast but hold stockstill when he got closer.  He was circling me."Who are you?"I ask. The huge wolf just growled in response.  Suddenly a bird takes off from the trees and causes the wolf to look away.  I quickly grab a branch from the ground to use it as a weapon.  The wolf lunges to attack me and I swing and hit him.  It doesnt do much to hurt him but it gave me time to run away.

I was running off the path into the dark forest.  I was tripping and getting hit in the face with low hanging branches and thorns from bushes scratching my legs.  I didnt care though.  I kept running because I knew if I stopped that means I was giving up hope.  I could hear the wolf behind me gaining speed.  My legs felt like rubber and my lungs burned but I kept going.  I tripped on a branch and fell but I didnt see the steep hill so as I tripped I rolled down it.  I was falling down it really fast so fast I couldnt even scream.  I doubt I could've anyway my lungs hurt to much. I make it to the bottom of the hill.  I sit there for a moment to catch my breath.  I go to stand up but I gasp in pain and collaps to the ground holding my ankle.  I must have spranded it in the fall.  I get a hold of a stick and use it as a crutch I was just going to stand when I hear laughing. 

It was high pitched and horrible.  I look around but I dont see anything.  Then the branches moved and I see it.  More of them come out of the trees.  Soon I am surronded.  Trolls. Atleast a dozen of them.  I back up until I hit the wall. They get closer to me.  Something wet runs into my eye I wipe it and relize that it is blood.  I must've hit my head on the fall and they smelled the blood.  I was scared. This was the end a pack of trolls was how I would die.  The are five feet from me so I just close my eyes and wait for it.

It never happens though.  I wait and wait.  I hear a growl and one of the trolls yell.  I open my eyes and I am shocked at what I see. The trolls are fighting off the wolf.  It was a blood bath.  The wolf moved gracefully from them and ended killing all of them.  He then looks at me. He walks closer and closer till I am pinned against the wall.  His nose is atleast two inches from my face.  I look into the eyes of the beast.  They were a deep yellow.  I was looking for a need to kill in them even blood thirsty.  I was taken back when I saw....... sadness hope even.  I relized that maybe he isnt so evil. Maybe behind all the fur and teeth is....... kindness.  I reach out my hand but stop as he flinches.  I put my hand on his head. I feel him relax and his eyes soften more. I suddenly feel lit headed maybe from the cut on my head and I start to black out.

I wake up and I see that I am in a cave. I am on a bed of leaves.  I think I am alone. Suddenly something moves on my back. I sit up and turn around and see that the wolf just woke up.  This must be his home.  He stands up.  "Wait before you leave can you tell me your name?" He looks at me and then says in a deep voice"Bigby."A small smile spreads on my face."I think we are going to be freinds."He walks out of the cave but I swear that a smile was on his face.

It fades out and goes black. Then I am in a differnt but same forest.  I was walking on the path but then a sound.  "Bigby I know that is you." Bigby walks by me and we walk down the path."So any luck finding your dad North Wind?"  He sighs and says"No but one day so how are you?" I tell him and we talk for a while.   Then everything blacks out and I am at my Grandmas house.  I feel like I have been here before. I look at my hands and see I am holding the necklace.  Oh no and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

I lay bleeding on the floor waiting to die.  I black out.  I open my eyes hoping to see Enderlox but instead I am looking at my own face.  I jump back and see I am still in the cottage.  I must be dead so is this someone else memory?  Then I hear wings flapping.  I turn to the door way and see Enderlox.  He was different looking.  He was in the shadow but then I see it when he steps in the light. He has these huge black and purple dragon wings and tail.  His eyes are glowing purple and his head phones instead of glowing green a deep purple.

"Enderlox! Hello?" He must not be able to see me.  He goes over to me or well the girl that looks like me.  He goes and picks her up.  Enderlox goes outside and takes off flying and suddenly I am flying with him. It was weird to be above the world.  He lands in the clearing I was in when I meet Bigby.  He sets the girl down in the middle of the clearing.

He backs up and then more people come out of the forest.  I instantly see Jeff,Jack,Sally,Jane,and Slender.  I see others that I have read the story but havent meet them like Laughing Jack,Ben Drowned,Sonic exe.,the Rake, Seedeater and many others. They gather in a circle around me.  "What do we do we cant let her die."I hear Sally sob.  Then Bigby walks in.  How come he is here? He is the one that did this to me.  He walks in and looks so sad.  He sees my arm.  "Well there is one way but she will have my curse." he says.  They understood what Bigby ment but I didnt.

His curse what curse?   "The only way to save her is for her to be a wolf." Enderlox says.  What no thats not right so does that mean I am a ......... werewolf?  They gather in a circle around me and Bigby.  He walks to me  and he starts to cry as he scratches at the bite.  I gasp and look at my arm. The pain is like fire I look and there is a fresh cut.  He then throws back his head and howls and then everyone is chanting something that I dont understand.  It seems like the earth is spinning . I get dizzy and look down at my arm and the cut was healing and leaving a scar on my arm. As the world was spinning around my I see flashes of my memories.  One really gets my attion. I could see Bigby looking at my mother. The thing was that she was dead and mauled. He had a look of hate and saddness in his eyes. The world then goes black.

I suddenly hit the ground and I am jerked back to reality.  I sit up the chair so fast I almost head butt Enderlox.  I start to cough."Hey calm down."Enderlox says rubbing my back.I start to calm down.  "What did you see?"Bigby asks.  "I saw the story of Little Red Riding Hood."I look into Bigbys face with my eyes full of hurt and I ask him"Why? Why would you ruin our freindship? Why would you try to kill me?" As I talked I was going from whispering to screaming.  I felt the claws come out but I didnt care. "Before I came back to reality I saw my mothers dead body! She was killed by you I saw it how could you?!" Before he can answer I slap him.
