Edward & June

First day as a Couple

My eyes flutter open as I woke to the sound of Edwards heartbeat, gosh that has to be the most wonderful sound in the whole world. I glanced up at Edward, he looked so peaceful when he was asleep, so beautiful.  I scooched up next to his face and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning my sweet."

"Good morning June." He responded in a sleepy voice.

"What should do today Edward?"

"I don't know, what do you want to do?"

"Well, today is our first day officially as a cupule, I just want to spend the day with you if that's alight." I replied with a smile. He nodded in agreement as we went up stairs. 

"Good morning you two." Mrs. Peg greeted us at the table with some food. 

"Morning Mrs. Peg."

"Good morning." Edward whispered.

"Well eat up you guys, Edward, Joyce called and she said you can come over as soon are your done."

"Wait. What."  I was not ready to hear this this morning.

"Edward was going over to Joyce's today to cut her headages."

I just sat there with my head in my hands, a million thoughts were racing through my head. I knew what Joyce would do to Edward if they were alone. Mrs. peg and I exchanged a I-know-what-your-thinking-look. So she brought up the idea of me going with Edward to Joyce's, he really liked the idea so the two of us left right after we ate.

It did not take long for us to reach her house, but before we went round back I had to tell Edward something very important.

"Umm Edward love......you know what we did yesterday together in the bathroom?"

"Yes, I liked that a lot." He said with a small smile.

"Well......Joyce might try and......," I tear up at the very thought, "rape you....

"rape?"

I did not wanted him to loose his precious innocents, not now and NOT to Joyce. All I wanted was to keep him safe and love him so very much.

"She....well she...would try and do what I did to you yesterday.....and not ask you if you want to and.....and.."

"June," Edward said tenderly as looked into my teary eyes, "I only want to be with you and only you, I love you."

"I love you to my sweet Edward." I was so happy to hear that, we soon made your way to her back yard.

"Hello Edward....oh and June to." Joyce said with a disgusted look.

"Yeah, June to. Get used to it, we're a couple now remember."

"Yes, I do c-congratulations you two." She said through her teeth. "Well go on get started Eddy." Joyce chirped.

Edward stated snipping away at her shrubs, making them into swans, I love watching him work he is so precise and smooth. I sat down and never took my eyes off Joyce for a second, and she knew it. She kept trying to to get me to leave but I never once did, I'm not stupid. Nevertheless, Joyce still tried to flirt with him, but luckily he didn't know what she was talking about.

"Eddy wouldn't you like a cool glass of lemonade?" 

"Lemonade?" He repeated as I notice him looking quite pale. Not seconds after he said this he threw up on Joyce's shoes and could barely stand up.

"Edward? Oh dear you poor thing, come up lets get you home."

We soon got back home and took him to our bed and had him lay down, and I took a warm cloth and gently wiped his face. Just as soon as he hit the pillow he fell fast asleep.

"No more genius for you love." I whispered as I watched him drift off to sleep.
