chapter 6 -🎃 Halloween 🎃

Keith pov

I've known Katie for a while now and we are really good friends but I also like her as more of a friend she's smart and cute and so much more but what if I ask her out and she doesn't want to be more then friends what if I ruin our friendship?
I sat in my room contemplating what to do when shiro walked in "hey Keith what's up? You look depressed" he laughed and I let out a sigh. I told him about how I felt about Katie and that I was worried about ruining our friendship. When I finished he looked at me then said "well isn't there a Halloween party at your school next Friday? You could ask her to go to it with you?" I like the idea of it
"Yea that's a good idea but I don't know how to ask her" shiro sat down next to me and made himself comfortable "you just have to ask there's no point in beating around the bush if you don't tell her how you feel someone else will ask her out and you'll loose your chance" I nodded my head then asked him some more questions. When we where done talking shiro suggested that I should invite Katie over for dinner and we can watch a scarry movie.

Katie pov

I was in my work shop building a computer I had taken apart for the fifth time in a week, when I got a text from Keith
'hey
Do you want to come over to my house and we can hang out'
He wants to hang out? I was about to reply then he said 'ps I got snacks already' well I can't say no to snacks!
'yeah sounds fun what time?'
'6.30?'
'Okay I'll see you then'
It's 5.45 right now so I'll make it on time if I take the bus, hmm but that means social contact.... I'll just run.
I got ready then ran to the front door, when my mother stopped me -_-

"And just where are you going?"
"keiths house! That's alright isn't it?"
"What time will you be back?"
"I don't know"
"Be back at 9.30"
"Ugh whatever"
"Don't be rude or you won't go at all"
"Okay..sorry"
"Good, I'll see you later"
"Bye!"
I ran all the way to Keith's damn my mother is so over protective and now I'm late cause of her ugh.

I arrived at Keith's and knocked the door, no one answered I knocked again then yelled "Keith?" No one answered "shiro?" I pulled out my phone to call him but the door opened but, no one was in the hallway? "Keith?!" I yelled again I walked in and turned on the light but it didn't turn on so I used the torch from my phone. No one was home? I walked into the kitchen "h-hello?" As I turned the corner I saw a white shadow dart across the room "k-keith" I opened the kitchen door and I could feel something watching me
I walked in then
"BoOo!!"
I screamed as Keith and shiro jumped out of the pantry. They both burst out laughing "you should have seen the look on your face!" Keith wheezed between laughs "oh ha ha very funny guys"

Keith pov

I was waiting for Katie to arrive when shiro suggested we should prank her when she arrives it sounded fun so we go set up and I switched off the lights at the main power box then went to hide in the kitchen with shiro.

"Oh ha ha very funny guys" it was so funny but she clearly wasn't amused witch made it even more funny "so is Adam running around being a ghost for you?" She asked us me and shiro both gave each other a look then shiro said "Adam is at work right now, it's just us..."
"Oh but I saw someone running across the hall"
"Probably just the light playing tricks on you haha..." Shiro reassured her then said "I'll leave you two now" Then walked out. After a couple of minutes the lights turned back on "uh how about we watch a movie?" I suggest hoping to find a good way to ask her out. "Okay sounds fun! Nothing to scary though!" I node my head then we go into the living room and sit on the sofa. It took us a while but we eventually decided on the Adams family. When it finished I turned the t.v off the turned to Katie.
I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I took a deep breath "K-Katie?" She hummed in response "w-would you go on a d-date with m-me?"

Katie pov

A date?!?
Is he asking me out?!
What do I say?!
I really like him, does he like me back?!
"I-i uh y-yes I would l-like that"
What?!
Did- did I just.....am I g-going on a d-date with k-Keith?!

Keith pov
D-did she say y-yes?!
"G-great I'll pick you up for the p-party on Friday?"
"Y-yeah sounds g-good"
