Broken Pieces Part 2 - Neville (request)

This is going to be a little out of order just so it flows better and because i suck at remembering stuff :/

this is for @JulzLovDraco4Eva  finally finished! hope you like it <3

I see Neville running towards me as the bridge collapses.

"He's not going to make it," I whisper, before my legs run toward him.

"Neville! Neville, I'm here. Grab my hand!" I yell.

He grabs my hand and I yell for help. A couple other Gryffindors rush to me and help pull him up. I collapse onto the ground with him and he pulls me against him. I feel the tears rushing down my face before I realize that I'm crying.

"Hush now love. It's okay. I'm here, see?" Neville says, rubbing my back.

"Neville....don't do that again. I...can't lose you," I hiccup.

"You could never lose me y/n," he says, planting a quick kiss on my forehead.

I hear a big boom and look up towards the sky just as the barrier starts to break.

"Let's get you somewhere safe love," Neville says, picking me up.

I nod and grab his hand as we race to the rest of the group. There's Death Eaters everywhere and I quickly mutter a shield spell around the group.

Neville suddenly pushes me against the wall and cages me in his arms as something goes off behind us.

"Thank you," I say, blushing like mad even though we are literally in the middle of a war.

"Just protecting what I love," he says with a wink.

We rush out to the moving staircases and see most of them destroyed. I feel Neville grip my hand tighter but I don't think much of it.

Neville quickly turns to me and grabs my hands.

"Y/n listen to me. I need you to go with Dean and Seamus. Right now. Find them and don't leave their side until I come back. Understand?" he says, his eyes searching mine.

"Neville why-" I say before he presses a finger to my lips.

"Don't ask. Just go. Now!" He says, worry all over his face before he pushes me away.

As he does, I see her. Bellatrix Lestrange.

The pieces click and I realize why he told me to leave. He's trying to make sure she doesn't use me to get to him.

I try moving my legs to run, but they've turned to stone. Neville looks at me, fear etched on his face.

"Neville... I can't move. I can't move!" I try to say, but I can't move my mouth.

"You leave her alone!" Neville says, whipping his wand out and pointing it at Bellatrix.

She laughs, "You don't stand a chance Longbottom. If poor mum and dad couldn't, what makes you think you can? Alarte ascendare!" she says, the curse sending Neville up and slamming him right down into the ground.

I try to scream but I can't. Neville doesn't move and I fear for the worst. No, no, no. Not again. Please no.

"Hmm, I think I should take you with me dear. Wingardium leviosa," she says and I start to float, following wherever she is taking me. She says another spell but I miss it before I blackout.

Neville's pov

I wake up and my head is pounding. My first thought isn't about what injuries I got, but instead it's where y/n is.

"Seamus...Dean. I need to find them. Maybe they have y/n with them," I say, but I know that that is probably not the case.

I get up and start frantically searching through the castle.

"Seamus! Dean! Y/n! Can you guys hear me?" I yell out.

"Neville over here!" I hear a voice say behind a big block of rubble.

I duck behind it just as a Death Eater throws a curse in my direction. I see Seamus and Dean huddled behind, only emerging to shoot a quick spell to either protect them or disarm a Death Eater.

"Is y/n with you guys? Have you seen her?" I ask.

Dean shakes his head, "No. Sorry mate. Why is something wrong?"

I sigh and fist my hands in my hair, "Bellatrix cornered us and I'm afraid she took her. It was supposed to be my job to protect her and I screwed up!"

"We'll find her Neville. Come on." Seamus says and we all get up.

We race through all of the corridors but stop once we get to the Slytherin common room. A bloodcurdling scream could be heard and in an instant I know it's y/n.

"We have to get through the door," I say, turning to Seamus and Dean. They nod and we try everything to get through.

"Stay strong y/n. I'm coming," I whisper.

y/n pov

Pain. That's all I feel. It consumes my thoughts and clouds my brain. I faintly hear Bellatrix laugh but it feels as if I'm underwater. I scream but I can't tell if it's just in my head or I'm actually making the noise.

There's a faint thudding sound I hear but it quickly becomes forgotten as Bellatrix performs the Cruciatus curse on me again. The pain abruptly stops and I lay still, afraid of experiencing it once again.

Bright lights flash and I hear voices all around. Blues, reds, greens,and yellows fly everywhere and I close my eyes. I hear a voice and time stops. Neville, he's come. His voice is all I can focus on as I lay there and it is my lifeline.

"Y/n, come on wake up," I hear Dean say as he kneels next to me and taps my cheek.

I lay still, too weak to do anything. The lights stop flashing and I feel two more people join Dean.

"Y/n. Come on love. You can't leave me. I need you," I hear Neville say as he burrows himself into my chest. My eyes shoot open and I sit up.

I turn towards Neville and before I could say a single thing, he pulls me into his lap and hugs me tighter than ever before.

"Y/n, don't ever do that to me again. I don't think I would have survived if you left me. I can't. I just can't," he says, looking at me with tears in his eyes.

I pull his lips to mine and melt into him. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses me with a passion I've never felt before.

"I was so scared, Neville. I thought I was never going to see you again," I say, tears already flowing.

"You're safe. It's okay y/n. I got you," Neville says, pushing my head into him.

I sob and he pulls me even closer so there is not an inch that we are not connected.

"I love you y/n. More than you ever know," he says.
