your perspective
The bell rung, marking the start of class. You had barely cleaned yourself up, and still had a thin line of smeared mascara under your eyes. Your blue/green eyes were a puffy pink, covered in a thin gloss of lingering tears. Your last class of the day was Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Lupin. You disliked this class highly and often didn't attend.
"Oh Mrs. Y/N! You decided to come to class today!" Lupin laughed.
"It's not like I want to be here." You mumbled, still upset from you and Pansy's encounter. It wasn't Professor Lupin that you didn't like, it was the class in general. Your 5th year teacher, Umbridge, had absolutely ruined this class for you. Professor Lupin was pretty cool, actually. He let you pick your seats each class, and often would let you chatter almost yourselves. You took a seat in the back and took out your parchment.
To others, you looked miserable; you felt miserable.
Through Professor Lupin's instructions and your thoughts, you barely saw a teenager sit next to you.
"Mrs Y/L/N, what are we doing today?" Professor tapped on your desk with his wand.
"Uhh-" You quickly brought your head up.
"That's what I thought. 5 points from Slytherin."
Maybe you didn't like him that much.
The whole Slytherin class turned to you rolling their eyes and sighing. Slytherins' were already loosing the cup, and your behavior didn't help.
Another tap stole your attention as Professor Lupin made his way back to the front of the room.
"It's okay, I once got 50 points from Slytherin."
It was Blaise.
You guys weren't close, but he always seemed to look at you. He was one of Draco's good friends; a HUGE trouble maker.
"Oh, hey Blaise. Just haven't been having the best day."
"Is it because of Malfoy? You know he's not mad, just a little upset."
"What?"
"You know.. Since you told him you'd never go with him to the ball. He respects that."
"Blaise what in the bloody hell are you talking about? I never said that."
"Oh cmon, Y/N. I already told you he's fine. You don't have to lie. Pansy already told us."
"Pansy? Seriously?"
Blaise looked at you with confusion as you stood up. Professor looked at you quickly.
"Mrs, class is not over."
"I've got to use the restroom, I apologize." Lupin sighed and signaled for you to go ahead. You knew Draco's last class he always skipped, filling his time in his dorm.
You ran up to the common room, yelling the passcode as you barged into it.
"You okay?" Pansy sneered.
"Shove off, you douche." You raced yourself up the stairs quickly. You almost ran straight into Draco's dorm door when you got up the stairs. You knocked but no answer. You knocked again, knowing he was in there. You opened the door and peeked in. Draco laid sprawled out on his bed, his face up.
"Whatcha need, Blaise?" You stayed silent; he thought you were Blaise. "Look I-" He sat up. He fell back onto his bed, sighing at you. "What's up?" He rubbed his hands across his face, smoothing his hair back.
