It was your 6th year at Hogwarts, you were quite the loner.
Your train ride was quiet until an annoyed blonde boy crashed into your cart; Malfoy. "What do you want, Malfoy.?" You asked, anger wiping your face.
"You have the only empty cart, give it. It's not like a mudblood needs it to herself anyways." Draco hissed, spite shining his voice.
You hated this boy.
"Malfoy, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm a pureblood you air head. And no, you're not getting the cart. Go sit with Pansy or something." You smirked, sass filling your eyes.
"Mudblood in my eyes," Draco muttered before snapping into reality with what you just said. "What did you just say to me you-" He comes closer to you, his wand on the edge of you strong jawbone. He brought his voice to an angry whisper. "You're glad we're in a public place, if it was up to me, Ellerys wouldn't be aloud on the high class side of things."
God Draco, the bleach has got to your head hasn't it? You're insane. You wanted to tell him that, but Goyale came in before you could think anything worse. He looked into your eyes, rolling his as he withdrew his wand from your neck. You pushed yourself backwards, moving yourself from him. A few minutes after he left, Harry, Hermione, and Ron came and plopped down next to you.
"Y/N! There you are, what are you doing all the way over here.?" Harry questioned, brushing next to you before sitting down. Your parents adored Harry. He was the perfect hero, and would always be there to help. You on the other hand found him on the least attractive scale, and a little heroic. You didn't know where you heart laid just yet, but this year would for sure help it.
"Oh! Hey guys. I just found an empty cart and decided to sit here." You hid the slight fear from your encounter with Draco. You couldn't tell if it was fear or adrenaline. Both, you figured after a little. Hermione and Ron chattered amongst themselves while you and Harry said nothing more than a whisper. You glanced out the window, a quarter of a way from Hogwarts. You felt Harry's eyes glance to your naturally blush coloured cheeks. He studied you before turning his head as you turned yours. He didn't want to be caught looking at your sharp features, therefore hiding his face with his arm.

When you finally arrived at Hogwarts, your bags disappeared as you stepped off the train. Hagrid helped you and many other girls down, telling you to watch your step.
"Thank you Hagrid," You said as you stepped down onto the pavement. He nodded, you hurrying to catch up with your friends. Once in the castle, you split into 4 groups; Gryffindoor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff. You went with the Slytherin group. You personally believed that you were a Ravenclaw with a strong sense of winning. The sorting hat didn't match what you thought, wrongly placing you in Slytherin. You were the spin of your house, being quite the talk. You weren't hated, but weren't praised.
You shared your dorm with 3 other Slytherin girls; Katie McLaggen, Fallon Meliflua, and Millicent Bulstrode. All of them were spiteful teenagers, except for Fallon. She was nicer then all of them, and treated you with kindness and respect. She was a halfblood from London, who lived in the Muggle World with her mother. When you entered your room, Fallon was first to greet you with a quiet squeal and a nervous hug.
"I wasn't sure if you were attending this year, Y/N! What would I do without you?!" She said, excitement filling her up.
"Oh of course I'm coming, Fallon you know I wouldn't leave you." You walked over to your bed, your voice trailing off as you picked your rat, Kassy, up. "Good Buddy." You patted her head in a small rhythm before setting her down. Kassy had been a gift from your father before he died in a fire a couple years ago, You hid your grief, and many people were unaware of the incident. You shook your thoughts away.

A couple hours later you decide that you are quite hungry, and dinner had started 20-ish minutes ago. As you made your way to the dining hall you couldn't help but think about Draco and your train ride. A bruise was appearing, but wasn't too noticeable now. It was tender and starting to have a hint of purple, you covered it by rolling your black turtle neck up.Smashing you out of your thoughts, Fallon came running beside you.
"Hey! You snuck off." She said, panting from running. She was a fit and orderly girl with brown hair that went down to right above her butt. She had shimmery green eyes, and a fair complexion. She was gorgeous, and many boys across the school adored her. "Sorry, I'm just hungry I guess." You slowed your pace, waiting for her to catch her breath. After a few seconds, you began your normal pace again, chattering with Fallon.
You entered the dining hall, Fallon still blabbering about her life 'problems.' You didn't mind, besides, you weren't listening much anyways. You both took a seat at a less crowded place at the Slytherin table. Your privacy was quickly taken away when Draco and his little gang decide to sit in front of you.
Just what we need; a group of stupid bullies. You rolled your eyes at their arrival.
"Awe, my appetite is gone. Possibly due to the sight of wizard trash." Draco laughed staring at you, and not Fallon. Fallon pulled on you, whispering to not believe them. "Oh I'm sorry Malfoy, go to a different part of the table, maybe you'll actually be wanted there." You snapped.
"How dare you talk to me like that! I'll have you expelled in a heart beat."
Awe, poor Malfoy, your ego is hurt.
You slowly shook your head, turning to Fallon. She was frightened, and stared into Draco's sliver eyes.
"What are you looking at," Draco said, moving quickly. Pansy stood up first, signalling for Draco and his little 'entourage' to follow. He stopped for a second, looking at Fallon. Her eyes welded with tears before standing up and running. You stood up after her, sliding the table into his chest.
God you hated this boy.
