The doors into the compound's main building were made of steel, but that made little difference to Sid, as red lights flashed that an intruder was inside the facility. Surrounding the door was heavily fortified cement. This place was set up to be a fortress, which made him wonder what all they had inside. What secrets was the Society hiding here?

His smile crossed his face, he would take great pleasure in destroying everything they had built here. The blade in his right-hand slashed in front of his face, and a gash opened on the heavy steel door keeping him out. Two more swings and thick chunks of steel hit the ground with loud thuds. A kick and what remained of the doors swung inward and out of his way, allowing him to step into a room that held twenty soldiers, all with their firearms trained on him. Drawing his second blade in his left-hand he crossed them in front of his face as the guards opened fire. The sound was deafening as he repeatedly felt round collide with his armor and the swords crossed in front of him. Everything became quiet as the guards ran out of ammo and waited for the smoke to clear.

Gasp of surprise escaped the soldiers as they all quickly began to try and reload when they saw that Sid was still standing where he had been. With a flash he disappeared and reappeared with his blades buried in the chest of the first guard. He did a backflip off the man's chest and shot to his left, dragging the blade in his right hand through the five men standing there, cutting them all in half. Pieces of body collapsed to the floor as Sid disappeared in a flash once more, only to reappear in front of another group of soldiers that were looking around in panic. His attacks were so fast that the guards were not even aware that he had slashed their throats until the blood began pouring out and down their body armor.

Only nine guards remained, and they were in full on panic mode, having no idea of how to stop the super powered monster that was slashing his way through their ranks. Four of the remaining guards tried to flee through the destroyed door that now rested behind Sid. Sid flung the sword in his right-hand into the chest of a man trying to flee down a hall in front of him and with a spin pulled throwing knives from a small pouch on his thigh. In one motion he released four blades that all found their homes in the back of the men's necks, forcing them to collapse in stride, their corpses creating a barricade in the door that would make it much harder for anyone else to escape that way. The remaining four guards dropped their weapons and back against the wall with their hands in the air.

"Too late," Sid said flatly as he recovered his sword and, in a flash, shot forward, slashing his swords through the men's neck and arms. Blood sprayed the walls and floor as they fell to pieces, a deep gouge in the cement wall behind where the men had been standing displayed the force in which the blow had landed. Sid flicked his blades, removing the blood from them before placing them back into their scabbards. He then moved across to the door and recovered his throwing knives and ensuring that the men there were fully dead.

By now every soldier and Socialite within the compound would be ready for him. Their efforts were futile, he was there to retrieve Maldion and there was nothing they could do to stop him. The only thing they would achieve was slowing him up slightly as they fell in front of him, forcing him to walk over their bodies.

The large room he had entered was followed by a long hallway with few doors. Waiting ahead of him there was a man, well built, and holding no visible weapons. Sid continued to walk down the hallway until he was ten feet from the man, who had not yet moved. From behind the man's leg he quickly drew a katana in a flash and swung it at Sid's throat, who leaned back and out of the way of the attack. Sid spun and brought his own blade up to deflect another attack. The two men's blades flashed like blurs of silver as they left deep wounds in every surface that they touched. His opponent stepped back and reset himself, holding his sword with both hands, glaring at Sid. Bending his knees, he drew his sword back to his shoulder and lunged thrusting his sword straight at Sid's chest. Sid side stepped and grasped the man's blade with his free left hand, then bringing his blade upward he cut it in half, before spinning and kicking the man in the chest, forcing him backward.

The man coughed hard as blood trickled down his chin, which he wiped on the back of his hand before smiling. He slid backward a few steps and reached into one of the few door openings visible along the corridor, drawing out a new blade and dropping the broken one in its place. Having replaced his weapon, the man moved back into his combat stance. Sid was not impressed, wanting to move on more quickly he had hoped the kick would be enough to put the man down but had failed to access the man properly, a mistake he would not make again. Before the man could fully react, Sid shot forward, swinging his blade down hard in a high overhead arc. The two blades clashed deafeningly as sparks flew from them. Sid continued his motion much too quickly for the other man to handle and spun his blade in his hand, stabbing it backward into the man's lower spine. He crumpled to his knees and used his katana to prop himself up. Bowing his head forward he waited for the final blow to come and did not have to wait long. Sid plunged his blade into the back of the man's neck, giving him an honorable death, the death he desired.

The corridor ahead was now clear, but the sound of movement echoed all around. Chaos was spreading around the compound as news of what was happening spread like wildfire. Sid continued down the long corridor until he came to an elevator and a staircase. Slamming open the staircase door he ran down the steps two at a time. His breathing was steady as if he was doing no more than walking through a park as he slammed into another door, ripping it from its hinges and smashing it to the floor. He did not lose a stride as he continued to sprint down the hallway. A guard tried to cut him off as he came past but paid for it with a blade across the neck, spraying blood along the wall in the direction Sid was running. Another heavily fortified door soon stood in Sid's path. This one would be much too thick to easily cut through, so he slowed to a halt and pulled a small device from inside one of his many pouches. He pressed a series of buttons on the devices surface before placing it on the door, lights flashing. Sid stepped back from the door but did not have to wait long.

A thunderous explosion shook the entire compound, causing dirt and dust to fall from the ceiling. The blast had been targeted away from him, so the hallway only had a slight amount of smoke in it and a bit of debris that had fallen from the ceiling. Those inside the room had not been so lucky, moans and cries of pain carried through the air to him. The doors had blasted open and flung to each side of the room, hitting many guards in the process. Sid was not sure how many had been killed by the explosion, but he could see numerous soldiers laid out upon the floor, clutching wounds. There was a balcony overhead with several people looking down at him.

"Quite the entrance," one of the people called down to him. "You could have just knocked though," he finished with a smirk.

Sid glared at the man, "I am done with niceties. In the past I tried to kill as few of your people as possible, but that is in the past. You have over stretched the power of the Society this time."

The man that had been smirking glared down at him. He was older, the top of his head was bald with gray hair circling. Wrinkles lined his face; dark shadows were under his eyes. "You have been a problem for a while now. I take it you are here for the old man?" Sid did not reply, he simply glared and placed his hand inside the pouch on his hip that contained the throwing knives. "You can have him; he is straight through the door below us. What is left of him anyways."
