After a brief minute, she handed the completed application to Tommy who smiled.

'Here's your key and enjoy your stay at Tyler's Bed & Breakfast. If you need anything or have any concerns about your room please inform the manager. And, not to mention, your form will certainly be analysed by the boss. You'll either get a call from the boss if you're accepted or not by tomorrow.'

Suzy nodded at everything he said still focusing on the platinum colour found in his green eyes that shone perfectly like a silver-lining cloud.

Tommy knew that his inner bear, Trevor was overreacting to this woman and thought, 'What's the matter with you, Trevor?' and the bear spoke, 'She'll become one of us.' He studied the beautiful black woman carefully, 'One of us? A bear shifter? How would she become a bear shifter?' scanning every angle of her body aroused him greatly. Without looking down he sensed the erection in his pants, thank goodness, he stood behind the counter or else that would be embarrassing. 'Is something wrong, Suzy?' He asked noticing she was staring at his eyes. 'Can she sense I'm a shifter? I hope she's not one of those gifted seers,' he thought nervously.

Suzy shook her head, 'Oh no, I just like looking at your eyes, they're beautiful.'

'Beautiful?' Tommy laughed surprisingly and thought, 'She's the first woman to tell me this in centuries.'

Suzy covered her blushed and frowned, 'What I meant it looks like there are shines of silver and gold dancing through your eyes. I've never seen someone with eyes like yours before, it's cool.'

'Well, thanks for the compliment I appreciate it, Suzy. Now I got work to do I'll see you later if you consider joining the group for a skiing or snowboarding session with an addition of hot chocolate and doughnuts,' Tommy grinned.

Suzy laughed and smiled, 'Thanks for the great recommendation, Tommy. I'll think about it, see you later' and she walked off into the open elevator as the doors closed ascending to the third floor.

Trevor, his inner bear spoke, 'This woman is special, you'll see.'

'You're always right about something,' Tommy rolled his eyes and overheard his bear roared approving of his acknowledgment. He thought, 'You're such an ego bear' and heard his bear laughed before getting back to work.

Meanwhile, on the third floor, Suzy head over to her room which was nearby, the grand balcony. Instead of entering her bedroom, she was curious to see if anyone was out there. She entered the area and spotted a couple holding hands. They kissed each other pulling back smiling before noticing her presence.

'Uh oh, sorry, I didn't mean to intrude. I thought no one was there,' Suzy explained standing at the doorway.

The woman looked the same age as her editor, Chloe, she smiled, 'It's alright. We came out here to enjoy the view of the forest, the creeks and, the mountains. We're getting married on Christmas Eve here, isn't that right, Matt?' and she kissed her fiancé, soon to be husbands' cheeks.

'Yeah,' Matt nodded and was aware of her suitcase. 'Did you just arrive?'

Suzy thought, 'They must be Chloe's friends' and replied, 'Yes, I applied for a part-time job here. I'll be staying here for two weeks mostly.'

'That's wonderful! You'll get to see my wedding. I'm Skylar by the way, this is my fiancé, Matt,' Skylar introduced.

Suzy smiled, 'Nice to meet both of you, I'm Suzy' and shook their hands. 'I better get going I still feel jet lag.'

'Good sleep and some hot cocoa will solve the problem,' Matt quipped as his soon-to-be wife chuckled.

Suzy grinned, 'It will do wonders, thanks. See you guys later.'

'Yeah,' they answered watching her leave entering the hallway.

Suzy thought, 'No wonder Chloe admires them so much,' heading to her room unlocking the door strolling inside. Amazed by how comfortable and homey it felt. Closing the door behind her back she explored the one-bedroom room. Later on, she was seated in a mint pink tank top hoodie, white shorts and, a beanie over her hair while wearing converse shoes. She faced her laptop's screen, displaying an empty word document with the title: Winter's Wonderful Wedding.
