No One POV:The group walked out of the school. They walked down the stairs towards a pay phone that started ringing.
Alice answered it. "Let me speak to my daughter," Dr. Ashford told her. "First, you tell us how we're getting out."
Ashford sighed but nodded slightly even though she couldn't see him. "There's a helicopter already being prept. It takes off in 47 minutes. It'll be the last transport to leave Raccoon City before they detonate the bomb."
"I take it this helicopter isn't laid out especially for us," Alice said knowing it's not gonna be that easy. "No, there's another purpose. It'll be heavily guarded," he informed her.
"Where's the evac sight?" "May I speak to my daughter now?" He asked in return. Alice stepped back handing the phone to Angie.
Angie grabbed it with a smile, "daddy." Dr. Ashford sighed in relief, "her sweetheart. Are you alright?" He watched them on his computer.
"When can I see you," Angie asked him with a hopeful smile. "Soon. These people are gonna bring you to see me. I'll see you very soon. Put the lady back on."
Angie smiled and handed it to Alice. Angie went next to Hope grabbing her hand to hold. Hope looked down at her and gave her a smile. Angie smiles back.
Angie shivered holding her school jacket tighter for warmth. Hope felt her shiver and looked down at her concerned, "are you cold, Angie?"
Angie looked up at her and nodded. Hope let go of her hand and took off her jacket and hoodie. She put her jacket back on, "here take off your jacket real quick and put this on," she handed her hoodie to her, "and then put yours on over it."
Angie set her bag down and took off her school jacket and put the hoodie on. She zipped it then put her school jacket back on. The hoodie reached down to her knees.
Hope nodded to herself, "it's a little big on you but it'll do." Angie smiles up at her and gave her a hug, "thank you, Hope." Hope crouched down a little to hug her back, "no problem, shorty."
Angie pouted at her. Hope giggled at her. They both turned to Alice when she started speaking. "Let's go, we have to go to city hall," Alice told the group making everybody move to the truck.
Dr. Ashford watched them on his laptop when it started glitching. He hit the keys repeatedly trying to see what's wrong.
"Computer's so unreliable," a voice said behind him. Ashford stopped closing his eyes briefly then sighed and turned around facing the blonde man.
The man looked at him, "just like people." He walked closer to Ashford stopping in front of him. "You really thought I didn't know," he said making Ashford look at him worried.
The man closed Ashford's laptop and walked out leaving behind a soldier to watch Ashford.
Jill drove down a street fast trying to get to city hall in time. "So what are you injecting me with?" Carlos asked Alice looking over Hope who is sitting in the middle between them.
Alice looked at him, "the antivirus." Carlos looked confused. Hope laid her head on her moms shoulder closing her eyes, resting. Alice gave her a kiss on her head.
"The T-virus reanimates dead cells, basically bringing the dead to life. Or in a living human it can cause uncontrollable mutation. Or it can help her walk again if the virus is kept in check with this," Alice told him gesturing to Angie and the antivirus.
Carlos looked at Angie, "Angie's infected?" "Yes the cellular growth is enough to generate her but not enough to cause further mutation," Alice said making Carlos look back at her.
