Aizawa's Daughter (when the party's over)

The rest of the night was a blur for both men. They went and stayed with her. Heard the doctor say something about trying chemo and then trying to get her a transplant if that doesn't work. (Sorry if this is wrong).

They spent the night at the hospital and in the morning called Nezu to tell him that they had received some very bad news and would need some time off of work. Unfortunately, they could only get 3 days with both of them off with out questions.

They would have quit all together if it weren't for the treatment price. After two days, the men decided to send one of them to work and talk to Nezu. Shouta ended up going as he was the least likely to cry.

Aizawa's POV

These past two days have been unreal. I haven't cried yet, I just feel numb. I walk into Nezu's office after he tells me to come in. Guess he knew I was here.

"What seems to be wrong Aizawa?"

I take a deep breath. I don't like talking about my personal issues, but it's for Paige's sake.

"Um... do you remember Paige?"

Nezu nodded

"She turned 5 recently didn't she?"

I hate this

"Yeah, she... she has cancer. It's pretty bad. Hizashi and I know we still need to work, but she's in the hospital full time and going through chemo, and we don't want to leave her alone. We had the idea that maybe since my class and his class do the same program, and we can both teach English and homeroom, maybe we could alternate days and cover each others classes, and-"

Nezu cut me off.

"Aizawa, I'm- I'm so sorry. I wish I could give you both the time off, but I can accept this deal. You have very nosy students as I'm sure you're aware, so you will need a cover. I trust you or your husband will be at school on Monday?"

That's a relief

"Yes sir. Thank you."

I left his office and walked back to where my car should have been when I noticed I walked here. Great. 30 minute walk here we go.

I finally made it back and told my husband of the plan, and that I would go first and explain the cover to our classes.

"So we need a cover"

Oh yeah that's important.

"What do you think Zashi?"

We could tell them that we were married but that wouldn't be good for either of us. They would bombard us with questions and I don't think either of us could handle that. Zashi knows that I'm sure.

"Maybe we can tell them we both wanted to switch to part time to focus on hero work so we made a deal?"

That's genius

"Yeah sounds good"

I emailed the class and Nezu and then shut off all tech near me and just spent time with my family.

I would do anything for them.
