"We we've decided. Option 2 granted that we get our requests in. Then we go to the bunker in the radiation zone Toby knows about. "
"That's where one of the first bombs dropped, no one had time to prepare. It's still irradiated."
"You're still putting on a suit with the rest of us." Maxwell said, hugging Toby from behind, "we don't know what effects it has on the baby. "
Toby nodded and Nick opened the door for Avery and Cameron to come back in.
"So what have you decided?"
"Option 2. We will give you no more than a 12 hour test then we get to leave in a fully equipped mission vehicle. "
Cameron whispered into Avery's ear and she nodded, "alright. 12 hours should be enough. We'll pack the vehicles and leave in six hours."
The two left and Toby let out a sigh, "okay, freedom soon...life underground soon. We need a leave with supplies for the baby as well. A bag for three first few days at least. I know how to make clothes."
"We'll get what you need. " Adam said and looked to Nick, "come with me?"
Nick smiled, "of course."
The two left leaving Toby and Maxwell in the room alone. Maxwell immediately started checking over Toby and asking a million questions about his health.
"I'm fine, Max. The baby is too. We're so close to leaving and being in a safe place. Seven months is all we have to get everything ready..."
"I know. It's a crunch but we can do it. Now let's go get ready for our new lives, alright?"

Eight hours later and they were at the desert with a fully loaded vehicle and trailer full of survival and baby supplies. Cameron had set up a med-tent where Nick was last to receive the vaccine. Two guards then pushed all four of them out of the tent and into the calm dessert.
While waiting, they went over their supplies list, talked about who could run what in the bunker, and forcing toby to eat one of the packed meals.
Soon paraworm were noticed crawling up their legs. Cameron came over in a thick hazmat suit and took pictures, documenting. The three were scared out of their mind but the eventually, cameron took the worms off them Ann's put them in glass jars.
The 12 hours couldn't come fast enough but they were up and everyone got in the truck.
"We have to assume that was only temporary immunity. Otherwise, if it was you all could get in danger. Agreed?" Toby said like a true parent
"Good idea. More caution out here the better. I don't want to lose anyone on this trip or ever. Now suit up; we're almost to the radiation zone. "
Everyone got head to toe in their gear before they proceeded though Toby's was a bit big on him- it worked and that was enough for now. They got to the bunker. It was two metal doors built into the side of the mountain.
"So how do we get in?" Adam asked, looking at toby.
"We hope someone sees us." He pointed to a camera. Toby got out the truck and waved.
They waited for half an hour, with Toby insisting, and soon a voice came on a staticy intercom.
"What do you want?" It asked.
Toby looked for a way to answer finding a black box and a red button on it with a speaker, pushing it, "shelter. Please; we have two doctors and a guard that can help if you need it. We just want to live peacefully."
