Better together

The blast exploded back at Dr Blight, leaving her mangled against the wall, "what is this?" She asked confused and irritated.
The girls looked at the thing that had caused the blast to backfire. As it slowed down, they recognised the saviour straight away. It was Alopex.
"I'm sorry, but I can't watch my team be killed," Alopex said to her. "Awww, Ally loves us!" Gushed Shini and Renet. "Alopex looked back at them angrily. "Another powerful mutant?" Said Dr blight getting up and dusting herself off, "And almost as adapted and evolved as the others. Now this is a subject that will do nicely for research," she said grinning cunningly. She snapped her fingers and the other scientists ran in a circle with their guns surrounding them. "Kill the rest, there no use to us, but leave the fox mutant alive."
The scientists fired, and straightaway the girls ducked their shots heading forward to attack."Alopex!"yelled Mona Lisa, "leave the battle to us. Go free the others, they're tied up in the far back." Alopex nodded, and ran to the far back of the lab, there she found the turtles and the mutanimals tied up.
"Hey! Who are you?!" Slash exclaimed surprised. "Don't worry, I'm on your side," she said as she cut their ropes with her blades. "Alopex, why, and more importantly, how are you here?" Asked Leo utterly confused. "Im here by price. Your friends over there are very persuasive." She ran back to the fight, leaving the others to follow.
The battle was certainly a challenge for the girls alone. April managed to knock the blasts out of the way with her psychic waves, but it was not enough to stop all of the gun blasts from hitting. Soon, half of the laboratory was demolished by the crossfire. The girls ran over to each other panting. "I can't hold off the blasts forever," said April exhaustedly, "we're going to need another way to fend them off." "April's right," said Karai, "and I can't risk taking my serpent form when they still have the anti mutagen gas on them. Anybody have a new idea?"
Alopex stepped forward. "I do," she said, "but I have a feeling you're not going to like it."
She whispered it into Karai's ear, as Karai's eyes widened as she heard the plan. "Well you're right about one thing, I don't like this plan at all," said Karai disapprovingly, "Well...we may not have a choice," Mona added. She was right. The scientists were certainly not giving up, and were circling around them, guns at the ready. Karai looked at the team, "Ok, lets do it," she said.
They swung back into battle, attempting to create a distraction for some of them to escape unknowingly. Shini and Renet ran away from the battle and headed for the boiler room. They ran down the stairs to the boiler room door, and ran over to the main boiler. "So, what carnage are you thinking of creating with this?" Shini asked mischievously as Renet fiddled with the switches that connected to boiler tank. "Lets just say that it's a good thing I pay attention in nuclear physics," answered Renet as she flicked a final switch. "Huh," said Shini impressed, "you're more of a troublemaker than I thought..."
The boiler started to heat up and even screech like a kettle. Renet grabbed Shini and headed for the door. "What's that about?" Asked Shini looking a bit worried, "That's our cue to get out of here!" Answered Renet looking even more worried.
Meanwhile, back at the main room April, Karai, Mona, and Alopex were desperately trying to hold the scientists off until Shini and Renet were done with the boiler. But the blasts kept coming, and they're were too many for April OR Alopex to block or fire back.
"Shini, Renet, please hurry..." April pleaded as she tiredly used all the power she had left to deflect a blast from yet another space gun. Mona Lisa put her hand on her shoulder. "April, you must rest your power," she said comfortingly, "Find Renet and Shinigami, we'll hold off the rest," April smiled. "Thanks Mona," she said gratefully. She headed out of the laboratory and down the stairs to find Them. She was only down two flights of stairs when she bumped into Renet and Shini frantically running up the stairs. "Where have you guys been?" April asked confused. "Long story short, Renet fiddled with the boiler so we've got to get out of here fast before this whole place explodes,"
"How?" Asked April confused still.
"I guess I basically increased the average temperature of the boiler by 50 degrees therefore triggering the thermals upstairs and-
"Forget I asked!" Interrupted April cutting Renet off, "remember what you said we've gotta get out of here..."
They bolted back up the stairs to the the laboratory quickly sneaking over to the turtles and the mutanimals. "April! You look worried what's the matter- Donnie began.
"No time to explain the important thing is is that we get the heck out of here!" Yelled April quickly helping them up and running over to the others.
"Ditch the fighting and freaking run!" Yelled Renet. The fourteen of them left the scientists and ran through the passages until they reached the roof. "Looks like we're gonna have to jump!" Yelled April. They all ran as fast as they could and jumped off the edge of the building screaming.
Luckily, they were caught by the time sceptres anti gravity powers, slowly and lightly dropping them on the ground. "Thanks Renet," smiled Karai.
They looked back at the building which strangely had not changed. Mona spoke, "Maybe the boiler wasn't hot enough?"
KABOOM!! The building exploded violently, pieces of infrastructure and plaster falling everywhere as the building set up in flames.
The ladies, turtles, and mutanimals looked at the building with widened eyes, with the ladies in front. They sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Victory party anyone?" Asked Shinigami casually. "Sure," the ladies said nodding.
