I'm a Mutant? (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 5

Mystique POV

I dropped in on their conversation, and I couldn't believe what I had heard. Percy had a crush on me!  

Percy POV

I watched TV in my room. Senator Robert Kelly wanted to pass the Mutant Registration Act, which would require all mutants to publicly reveal their identities and powers. 

Somebody knocked on my door. I opened the door, and it was Professor X. 

"More training?" I asked. He shook his head. "You're going on a mission with Mystique to rescue another mutant on the run. Her name is Marie D'Ancanto, but she goes by Rogue. I've heard that there's another mutant with her, so bring them both in if possible." He said. 

"Fine, then. Where are they, and when do I leave?" Professor X nodded. "They are in Albany, and you'll be leaving whenever you're ready."

Before he could walk away I said; "Wait." He turned back to me. "Yes?" I nodded. "Everybody here has some sort of code name. Can I get one?" I asked. He smirked. "What would you like it to be?" 

I grinned. "How about Inferno?"

He nodded. "I like that. Inferno it is."

He walked away. I quickly packed a backpack, and I walked to Mystique's room. I knocked on her door, and she answered it. She was wearing a white shirt and jeans, but somehow it made her look more beautiful. 

"Ready?" I asked. She nodded. We exited the mansion. I remembered what Scott had told me, that I should ask her out. I took a deep breath and turned to her. 

"Mystique. I have something to ask you." I said. She smiled. "Yes?" 

"After the mission is over, would you like go out to dinner with me sometime?" I asked. 

She smirked and blushed. "Are you asking me out?" 

I grinned at her. "Yeah." 

"Then my answer is yes. I'd love to go out with you when the mission is over."

I smiled. This was great.
