Louie was in a very fowl mood when he made it to Doofus's mansion. He still couldn't believe that he ever wanted to be in with his high society life.
He turned out to be the biggest brat and he never liked the guy after he kidnapped Goldie to replace his dear Gramm'me mama.
He shuddered to think what would it be like today if Louie didn't have a change of heart and saved her.
Ever since that day though, he had stayed clear enough away from him.
Until now...
He went up to Doofus's tree house or, Louie guessed you could call it is Bachelor pad. From what he had heard B.O.Y.D talk about his brother he had gotten into some pretty shady dealings with the local Mafia family that was run by Ma Beagle who has a whole hoard of beagle boys at her disposable. If it weren't for Huey and Louie keeping tabs on them and foiling their plans to get the deed of Duckberg they would have taken it over by now.
Dewey had been no help in that situation.
Huey learned from Ma Beagle that he had been trading government secrets back and forth from the Mafia to F.O.W.L the entire time.
Louie scowled at the memory.
Another reason to hate Dewey.
As the elevator made it to the top of the tree house it dinged and almost at once Doofus was in his face, talking so fast and making Louie flatten himself up against the elevator door that he could have sworn his heart would have jump out of his chest if it weren't for the fact that his anger still lingering for Dewey was keeping it at bay.
"Seriously, Doofus!" Louie gasped. "Will you calm it down? I can't understand a word you are saying!" He shouted the last sentence over his constant babbling.
He stopped abruptly then reach out his hand and gripped the front of his leather jacket pulling him across the tree house. Louie barely made the effort to struggle. Considering the way Doofus was acting he came to the conclusion that this might not be a trap like he thought at first and felt like he can relax a bit, but not let down his guard.
The tree house that was once filled with toys, and games and other things only a rich boy could have... Was filled with technology and gross things in jars that were lined up on the shelves that surrounded the inner walls of the fortress.
Louie cringed when they passed a jar that looked like it had actual eyeballs and swallowed hard when he thought he saw one of them blink at him. Another shelf had dead animal skulls lined up as if Doofus was displaying them like trophies making Louie shiver.
Once Doofus finally let go of Louie he jumped into his over sized computer chair and started typing vigorously across the keyboard of the giant computer similar to Huey's back home that Doofus had dragged Louie towards.
Louie glanced around and saw litters of junk food, soda cans, conspiracy board that hung up behind them (that oddly reminded him about Webby's conspiracy board back when they were kids), and a filing cabinet that was nestled between the computer tower and Doofus.
"So, how exactly do you know what happened to Mom when I just found out that she was in trouble?" Louie asked, coming up behind him and glancing up at the computer screen.
He spotted the files on S.H.U.S.H and F.O.W.L as Doofus moved the mouse cursor across screen and clicked on both of them.
"I took the liberty of bugging your room." He told him.
Louie blinked.
"WHAT!" Louie shouted at him.
Doofus didn't even flinch at the sudden shouting in his ear. Louie hadn't expected him to answer him, and truthfully at that. Louie gathered that Doofus was trying hard to show him that he wasn't the threat here. That Louie should trust him, even if it meant incriminating himself to Louie.
