a propper meeting - Chapter 5

"Nice to see you again, Dabi."

A smooth yet persuasive voice bounced off the rusted metal walls that surround you, encapsulating your mind. The almost angelic voice fills you with such purpose from those short words. You fucking hated it. It's like honey, so sweet that it deceives and hides how sticky and distasteful it really was.

"yeah yeah, whatever hawks." You heard Dabi's gruff voice state in disinterest.

"Come on Dabi, you know you missed me." You could hear the mischievous in his voice.

"ha, as if."

"Sure, sure. Say whatever you want to say. But anyway, you called me here for a reason so please, elaborate." The smooth voice stated, soon turning to a more serious tone. It concerned you how quickly that persuasive tone changed.

An audible sigh sounded from Dabi before answering that question that was asked from the winged hero. "Look, I said you could meat another person of the league, but you should know that they have more patience than me yet they have worse consequences for pulling their strings. So a word of warning Hawks, don't fuck up." You could hear the sarcasm in Dabi's words when he said 'don't fuck up' as if he wanted me to try and kill him, and due to what Hawks was saying currently, you agreed completely. Whatever Dabi dragged you into, you weren't a fan.

"So, without waiting any longer, [Y/n], please get up here." Dabi's stern voice echoed through the warehouse, signalling for you to enter into view.

Rising from your crouching position from behind the wooden crates, you walk up towards the two people, only one seeming to nice your presence. Dabi saw you approaching from behind hawks. Your Nine tails bouncing behind you in silence as you approached.

"So, where is this [Y/n]? I don't hear or see anyone or thing. Dabi, you better not be playing tricks on me..." Hawks warned as you were now in arm's length of his back.

Slowly extend your arms forward, before gliding both your hands across crimson wings, framing them. Hawks reacting to the feeling turns around to find... nothing. Hawks, confused, turns back to Dabi to see you leaning against him, his tall figure contrasting heavily with yours.

Your nine tails swishing behind you, almost seeming like they defy gravity as they move.

"It's been awhile Hawks~"

Your voice, now echoing through the metal walls, your eyes staring up at the surprised man. His face turning from surprise to recognition, to a smirk or remembrance.

"Nice to meet you properly Hawks, I am [Y/n]..."

"Any last name?" Hawks questioned.

"That is not something that you need to know," you stated before extending your hand towards Hawks. "It is a pleasure to meet you." You smiled slightly with a sweet undertone, as you were almost excited to work with him. Yet you were still cautious of what he is capable of, as he is the number 2 hero in Japan. Along with the fact that he pushed you out of your woods that you 'haunted' and you were still kind of pissed about that.

Hesitantly, Hawks reached out to shake your hand. He had a firm grip, you kind of liked that. He went to let go but you held on, quickly pulling him down right next to your ear.

"Look Hawks, I know it was you who found them. I know you tried to follow me out of the forest and I know that the other heroes know I'm in this city. But, you are to blame if anything happens to me or Dabi. I expect co-operation from you, is that okay!" You push him away and walk back up to Dabi.

"So Hawks, now you have met someone else from the league, one last warning. Your in charge of making sure that [Y/n] doesn't end up in jail or in the hands of any other heroes. If she does, enjoy losing your feathers." Dabi warned, a stern and serious look on his face.

"Oh lighten up with ya Dabi, I think her gets the point." You state, walking away from Dabi next to hawks. He stayed still and cautious of your intentions, but after you had done nothing for about a minute he seemed to calm down.

"Due to me not being bothered about you two right now, Hawks, [Y/n]..." After you heard your name called, you looked up towards Dabi. "You two will be team bonding. Have fun, goodnight!" Dabi says as he closes the door behind him, exiting the warehouse.

In shock, your ears both slump down, in a sad pubby dog way. Hawks noticing this, along with the confused expression, neither of you knew what was quite going on. You truly regretted agreeing to this.

"Soooooo, it's nice to properly meet you [Y/n]." Hawks voice scared you, coming out of on were, making you jump in your clothes. Whipping around to see the man you are now stuck with currently smirking at your current situation.

his featured wings tucked behind him as he stares at you, awaiting your response.

"Well fuck."

I'm so sorry that this took forever to come out, I was busy with exam season and wanted to get a decent grade. I hope you all can forgive me as I think of what I should do in my next chapter.
