It seemed fun.

"Do you want to join, Mr. Peterson?" Dad interjected in our conversation.

"Sure, as long as I keep my glasses."

"Chiron, do you have any spare equipment?" Dad asked Chiron.

"Yes, yes. Follow me," He answered.

•••

After I changed into my hoodie and pants, Chiron broke the silence.

"Do you have a weapon, Jack?" He asked, handing me a helmet.

"Yes, I do." I answered, taking the dagger from my suitcase.

"Very well, then. Please follow me, you'll be joining the Leo's team."

"Cool."

•••

"Hey, Chiron! Who's the new guy?" Leo asked.

"This is Mr. Peterson, he'll be joining the game." He said before trotting back to the forest platform.

"Sure! Okay, newbie, you'll be on border patrol. Just follow that guy." Leo said, pointing at a Hermes kid.

As I walked to the creek, I unsheathed the dagger and took a battle stance. A few minutes later, I heard the bush behind me ruffle.

"Whoever you are, come out. It's been a while since I sparred." I called out.

"I didn't think you'd join, Mr. Peterson." Annabeth said, circling me.

"Neither did I." I said before lunging at her.

As I lunged at her, I noticed Malcolm running towards us.

"Now two against one isn't very fair, now is it?" I asked.

"Very well, then." I said before breaking out of the hold Annabeth had on me and kicked Malcolm in the stomach.

As I kept slashing on Annabeth, I also kept on punching Malcolm.

"Who the hell trained you?! You're so good, man!" Malcolm whined.

"Oh, you know, I've been training MMA for three years." I said, which was true.

"Checkmate," I said, pointing the dagger to Annabeth's neck and putting my foot to Malcolm's throat in the floor.

"I think I'll just keep you guys here while that guy crosses the creek." I said, gesturing to Travis, who was holding their flag.

"Ha! We win! Woooo!" Leo yelled, coming out from behind us.

"Hey, Leo." Annabeth said dejectedly after I took my dagger from Annabeth's neck and let go of Malcolm's wind pipe.

"Woah! This guy beat you?! That's so cool." Leo said, pointing at me.

"He's good with his stuff, I'll tell you that." Annabeth mumbled.

"He beat you with a dagger? You're getting pretty rusty, Beth!" Leo laughed, patting her back.

"Let's go, Malcolm. Congrats Leo, you too Jack." She said, waving.

•••

"-e's so good, Leo said he even beat Annabeth and Malcolm at the same time!" A random camper said as I passed her when I went to dad.

"That was a good show, Jack." Dad smiled.

"I'm getting pretty rusty though."

"Train here, you're gonna have to go to Olympus for weeks straight, right?" Dad said.

"Yeah, but it will be hard to keep my identity, yaknow ."

"Why are you hiding your identity?"

"I don't know."

"Won't people listen to you more if you reveal who you are? The fame and stuff?"

"Yeah, I never thought of that, maybe tomorrow though."

"Well, if you need a place to sleep, I'll tell Chiron that you'll be staying here. He'll understand."

•••

"Hey Chiron," I said non chalantly as I entered the Big House without my glasses.

"P-Percy?!" He exclaimed.

"Yes," I laughed as he hugged me.

"It's been so long!"

"I know. But Chiron, I have a favor to ask."

"What is it?"

"Can I stay here for tonight? I'll just reveal myself tomorrow."

"Sure! You're welcome here anytime."

"Thanks Chiron."

•••

I woke up at around 6:00 am, just about time before everyone starts waking up. As I went off to the forest, I looked around and remembered the forest platform. It was perfect. But I had to get to Blackjack first.

I crept to the stables. It was around 6:15, no one's still up. Then I saw him.

"Blackjack!" I whisper-yelled.

"Hey boss." He whinied happily.

"Come with me, I have a plan." I said, not giving him time to process it as I gently but quickly brought him out of the stables by the leash.

"Please circle me around camp for 15 minutes. I'll buy you donuts." I explained quickly. They're waking up any moment now.

"Sure, hop on." He neighed before I hurriedly climbed unto his back.

•••

15 minutes later and everyone is pretty much around the lake.

"Stop above the lake." I said to Blackjack.

And after I commanded, he slowed down and stopped just 50 feet above the lake. It's showtime.

As I neared the lake, I felt a familiar tug in my gut as the water rose like a platform to meet me in the middle.

"Sup, bitches."
