Guru Drona was happy teaching his children. He was proud of his pupil Arjuna- the most. He wanted him to be the sarvashrestha dhanurdhar. Arjuna always listened to his master and worked under him....
One day he went with his brothers to collect wood in the forest. There, something unusual happened to him. An arrow nearly hit his hand. He took the arrow and that was strange, this arrow belonged to no one in his team. He was puzzled, so he took the arrow with him to show it to his acharya.
Drona understood at once that it was someone better than arjun. He went to the forest and went into a cave, Where he found the owner of the arrow, who was practising his archery skills. There was a dog barking non-stop and so he released 7 shabdbhedi arrows which landede in the dog's mouth and he stopped. He saw Drona and quickly touched his feet. Everyone saw a clay model of Drona in front of him, and the boy replied-
"When i came to acharya to seek help in archery and find a teacher, he denied and said he teaches only royal people. So i made a model of him and i practise in front of it everytime"
Drona didn't want him to be a better dhanurdhar than Arjuna so he said-
"If i am ur teacher anyhow, won't u give me my Guru Dakshina?"
The boy said-
"I dont have much but i will try, u can ask me anything"
Drona asked him for his thumb of his right hand, and suddenly the boy chopped it and blood was everywhere, he gave it to Drona and now he hated Arjun. He could never do archery now....
