Amba who was raged with anger, now burnt herself into ashes waiting for her new Janam in a new form.
After manyyy years of wait and pray Amba took the form of Shikhandini -the daughter of Drupad. Drupad being proud of his daughter made her the Saenapati. Amba or Shikhandini now was proud of herself too.
She often went bathing in the river or roaming around the kingdom. One day she came across the same chain she tied in her past life to remember the revenge she had to take...
Shikhandini wore it and she then remembered all the things that happened with her in her past life. The unfair, the truth, the hurt and the revenge.
On remembering all of it, she went into the forest and searched for a place to meditate.
She took a cave as her place and then started her penance. She prayed and prayed and prayed and then one day finally Mahadev arrived....
He said-
*Oh my child , as u did the penance and the unfair happened with u, I grant u the wish to be the cause of Bhishma's death. He may surrender in front of u when u come as a boy in front of him. U can be a boy for 24 hrs and try to kill him*
Amba now was happy and called herself Shikhandhin.
