Y/N: "Not today, please..."
Just as you were about to stand up and get dressed for another ordinary day, you felt like your head was spinning around and you fell back on your bed. Your body shuddered and your arms were like noodles.
A fever? Great.
Y/N: "Guess I won't be leaving this place anytime soon. At least my phone—"
You grabbed your phone, but you checked the battery and its percentage was unnecessarily low and had gone down from what it was yesterday.
Y/N: "Did it not charge all night!? How's that even possible..."
Sighing, you had no other option but to at least try to stand up and get yourself a water bottle. Your legs were barely working and your body ached badly, as if you were ran over by a truck or something. When you finally made it to the fridge, you grabbed the water bottle inside and then made your way back to your bedroom, but everything around you was so hazy it is almost impossible to do so.
Y/N: "I don't need help, I don't need help..."
Closing one of your eyes in hopes that it would help your vision focus a bit, you kept walking to your bed. It made matters worse, because you stubbed your pinky toe against the corner of your bed and fell on the floor. Lying on the floor and groaning in pain, you let the water bottle you once held land on the bed and it did not hesitate to roll off of it and hit you on the head.
Y/N: "I think I need help..."
You crawled on the floor until you reached the nightstand, then, grabbing your phone, you checked through your phone contacts, but you unfortunately couldn't find the name you were looking for.
Y/N: "I don't want to annoy her with this... but what other option do I have? Kaori definitely isn't someone I want to see right now. Having a minor like Ruka here would just be weird, and so that just leaves her... I really need to get her phone number."
You weakly stood up and mustered all of your energy in walking to the balcony, and once you felt that chilly morning air, you called out to her.
Y/N: "Chizuru?"
You said her name a couple of times, and when you finally heard her step out of her apartment, a faint smile appeared on your face.
Chizuru: "I-Is there something wrong? It's unusual to hear you say my name that many times."
Y/N: "Good morning Chizuru. I need your help. Would you mind uhh, coming over really quick? I sorta... don't feel good."
Chizuru: "You... You don't feel good?"
On the other side of the thin wall is a Chizuru who slept incredibly well last night and was surprisingly ready for any challenge that might be thrown at her today. She never suspected you would be one of those 'challenges'.
Y/N: "Y-Yeah, I know how it sounds. I'm kind of just on the floor right now."
Chizuru: "Alright. I'll be there, give me a minute."
Y/N: "Oh thank goodness..."
Once Chizuru walked back inside, you started wondering as to how you even got sick. Your thinking was quickly interrupted by the voice of a girl, well, a different girl, and it was coming from your right rather than your left. The other neighbor, you thought.
Wait a minute, wasn't that place empty?
"Heeeeeey, excuse mee~"
Y/N: "Y-Yeah?"
"Are you new here or something?"
The girl, whose hair is particularly captivating, stared at you for a while, curious as to why you looked so weak and tired.
