"How's Taeyeon, doctor?" Tiffany's voice broke the anxious silence as the door to the emergency room swung open. Baekhyun and the Girls' Generation members were all on edge, awaiting the doctor's assessment.

Everyone stood up, their attention fully directed at the doctor who stepped forward, adjusting his lab coat before addressing them.

The tension in the room was palpable as Baekhyun's heart raced, hoping for a positive update on Taeyeon's condition.

"Her vitals are stable. There's no apparent physiological issue. It seems she succumbed to extreme stress, leading to her collapse," the doctor's words provided a mix of relief and concern.

The collective sigh from the Girls' Generation members seemed to echo Baekhyun's own feelings, but he couldn't shake off the weight of unease.

The doctor inquired about the events leading up to her fainting spell. Baekhyun hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. He took a deep breath before recounting the series of stressful incidents, from the encounter with reporters to the tumultuous meeting with SM higher-ups.

"Somebody even threw a slushie at her, after the meeting I've been feeling something's wrong with her. Then she fainted."

The girls reacted with gasps as the doctor probed further, trying to understand the situation better. Baekhyun's embarrassment was palpable, his gaze dropping to the ground.

"I heard from one of the nurses that she has no history of passing out, is it her first time?"

The girls nodded.

"Right. After years of performing non-stop she hasn't fainted at all. My friend is her psychiatrist and as far as I know, he mentioned that her mental health is not stable."

"Is she taking her medicine regularly as prescribed?" The doctor's inquiry shifted to her medication.

Baekhyun was caught off guard by this revelation, as he hadn't been aware of any medication. "M-medicines?"

Before he could respond, a teenage girl burst into the scene. Baekhyun turned his attention to her as the doctor addressed her as Rejin.

"Daddy!!! Where's Taeyeon unnie? I heard she was brought here. Is she okay?" Rejin's concern was evident as she rushed towards her father, who was engaged in conversation with Taeyeon's friends.

As the doctor tried to manage the situation, Rejin noticed the presence of Girls' Generation members and greeted them with awe. Baekhyun stood on the periphery, his eyes fixed on the wall, trying to avoid attention.

Rejin then shifted her gaze toward Baekhyun, and her reaction was instant. Surprise flashed across her face, and she greeted him with a polite bow, introducing herself as a devoted sone.

The doctor resumed the discussion, inquiring about Taeyeon's prescribed medication she learned from her godfather, Taeyeon's Psychiatrist. Rejin hesitated, mentioning that she believed it was an antidepressant, but she was reluctant to delve into the details due to her own aversion to the topic.

The doctor revealed that Taeyeon had been taking prescribed antidepressants regularly. The Girls' Generation members turned their attention to Baekhyun, awaiting his response. Feeling the weight of their scrutiny, Baekhyun's gaze remained fixed on the floor as he admitted, "I haven't noticed her taking any medication."

"Medicines like anti-depression are not just some medicines to keep one's self from being depressed, but also it prevents one to break down, in Taeyeon's case, she lost all of her energy that affected her mental health that's why she's broken down."

The doctor continued to explain the significance of antidepressant medication, emphasizing its role in maintaining mental stability and preventing emotional breakdowns. Rejin listened attentively, absorbing the information.

Rejin's voice trembled with concern as she sought confirmation from her father regarding the importance of the medication.

However, the doctor reassured them both, "But don't worry, she's already in a normal state... Let's just wait for her to wake up. She'll be transferred in a few minutes. And I suggest to let her stay until she's fully recovered." he said prompting a collective sigh of relief from the group.

The doctor left the room with Rejin in tow, leaving behind a sense of hope for Taeyeon's recovery.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun found solace against the wall, allowing his body to slide down until he was seated on the floor. The events of the day had taken a toll on him, physically and emotionally.

Tiffany approached him, expressing concern for his well-being and suggesting that he go home and rest. Her words resonated with him, and he realized that he had been sitting in the hospital for a longer time than he had noticed.

The notion of leaving Taeyeon's side, even for a moment, was difficult for Baekhyun to consider. He was determined to be present when she woke up, to offer her comfort and support.

As Tiffany patted his shoulder and offered her understanding, Baekhyun's emotions welled up. The overwhelming weight of his worries and guilt finally broke through, and tears streamed down his cheeks.

In that moment, his vulnerability was palpable, a testament to the depth of his feelings for Taeyeon and the pain he felt at not being able to protect her from the challenges she faced.
.

"Baekhyun, it might be a good idea to head home and rest for a while before returning." Sunny's voice broke the silence, her concern evident in her words.

All the girls had gathered in the room, having arrived a few minutes earlier from their respective homes. It had been over 30 hours since Taeyeon had been admitted to the hospital, yet she remained unconscious since her arrival.

Baekhyun hadn't found a moment to leave the hospital during this time.

"Rest assured, there are no paparazzi or reporters outside. SM made sure of that. Alternatively, you can ask your manager to come pick you up," Yuri added. "We'll make sure to call you as soon as she wakes up."

The desire to be there when Taeyeon finally opened her eyes was strong within him. Baekhyun wanted to be the first person she saw upon waking, to provide her comfort and reassurance.

Despite his reluctance, their insistence had been consistent. Reluctantly, he rose from the stool beside her bed. Gazing at her fragile form, his heart felt heavy; seeing her in this vulnerable state was agonizing. Bending down, he planted a lingering kiss on her forehead, whispering softly, "I'll be back soon. Please wake up."

The girls' gazes seemed to avert as I turned to face them, his heartache mirrored in their expressions. "Make sure to call me. I'll return before evening," he assured them before heading towards the door.
