"𝑨𝑹𝑬 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝑾𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑮 𝑴𝒀 𝑺𝑯𝑰𝑹𝑻?" Nini asked in an amused tone with a smile playing on her lips as she turned in the direction from where she heard Ricky's soft footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Hey! You said I could if I needed to!" He gotten his shirt all wet as they were having a contest to see who could drink the most water. His sacrifice paid off, because he won- but he did have to take off his soaked shirt, much to Nini's secret delight.
"I know, I know. I just didn't think you would take me up on my offer!" She stepped towards him to get a better look; he was wearing one of her bigger shirts. A Little Mix t-shirt that she wore as a dress, dropping down to her knees. It was a little big for him as well but it fit him much better than it did her. "... or that you're a Little Mix fan..." She wiggled her eyebrows.
"Are you kidding?? Hair, Wings, Secret Love Song? It's art."
"Glad to know you have some taste Bowen." She chuckled slapping his chest. "But most guys wouldn't have taken me up on my offer."
"Hey, I have no problem wearing my girl's clothes, doesn't hurt my masculinity at all." It's quiet for a couple seconds- mostly because Nini was too stunned to speak. "Or the clothes of a female friends either." He added, quite calmly considering how fast his heart was racing.
"Right." She whispered as she tried to stop herself from blushing.
"I wear Gina's clothes sometimes too. Maybe even Kourt's. We trade." He asserted again, bringing up his female band members to show her just how platonically he mean the statement; he didn't want to freak her out.
"Nice... I bet you look... super pretty" She nodded as her heart sank. She didn't want him to see her the same way he saw Gina or Kourtney. He didn't need a second girl best friend. Gina would probably murder him if he replaced her. He didn't mean you when he said his girl. She thought.
"Yeah... so... are you ready to eat?"
"Yeah! I took out everything." She motions her hand in the direction of their food.
"How much do I owe you?" He asked as he took a seat at her kitchen table.
"Nothing. Don't worry about it."
"Okay... then I'm paying the next time we eat together."
"Ooouu, then I better pick somewhere expensive." She joked as she sat in the seat next to him.
She had a six person dining room table despite the fact that she lived alone- he liked that. He guessed it meant that she was either always expecting visitors or she just thought it looked better, because it was clear she designed the place herself and had the option of what type of table she wanted.
