REMINISCE
As the rain pours gently on my cheeks,
I reminisce all of our gimmicks.
We used to have fun together,
And now I know this will be forever.
It started on my first day in your school,
When I saw you, you were pretty cool.
I started to have a crush on you,
And I tried to control it but it grew.
From crush, I had fallen for you,
But I know you can't catch me too.
Months pass and my love grew stronger,
And I think , I can' hide it much longer.
When I was sitting under the tree on my own,
You sat beside me and ask if we can talk alone.
I was shocked, but said "okay",
I don't want to expect anything from you that day.
You told me that you like me
And now you're falling for me.
I can't imagine what you have said,
For I have thought that I am only you're friend.
I said, "I'm sorry... but I like you too."
Then you hugged me tight and said, "thank you."
I told you we're too young to enter a relationship.
You said it's okay and it's our secret to keep.
From that day on, we were together always,
And we were very happy almost everyday.
We share our secrets to each other,
And we promised we'll be together forever.
When we graduated, my parents got me fixed marriage,
To a man I don't love, I was engaged.
I cried that night and ran out of tears,
The days that passed were still not clear.
You came to our house and said, "Let us runaway."
But I refused 'coz I know it is not the best to say.
You told me that it's the only way,
Then you left and I know you're not okay.
At last, my wedding day came,
And I know this'll be the saddest day,
But as I walk to the altar,
You were the groom I saw so far.
Then I confirmed it was really you,
My heart was filled with joy and it feels so new,
Then you told me that you talk to my parents,
And they understood that you and I were meant.
The ceremony started and we held each other's hand,
And can't take the smile on our faces even for a second.
We promised that we will be together,
And now I know this'll be forever.
After the ceremony, it rained slightly,
I grab your hand going outside of the church slowly.
We played in the rain that very day,
And that is the most memorable day.
I didn't even thought that you and I were meant to be,
When we were still in our school sitting under the tree.
Now I am reminiscing those days,
Under the sweet pour of the rain.
