"Oliver! You're doing it wrong"
"Let me do it!"
"You'll burn the food"
"No I won't"Delilah and Oliver sat in the Leaky Cauldron with sour looks on their faces, "I don't want to be all up in your face, but I told you so" Delilah said, "You need to work on your cooking skills."
"I tried"
"You should've just let me do it"
"You get nauseous with most smells in the house"
"We need to work something out because this isn't going to get better"
"We will," Oliver smiled, "for now, let's just eat"Work was never really a problem for Delilah. She loved her job and James wasn't being too problematic. She wasn't too worried about having to work, but Oliver was. He told her to contact him anytime anything happened, he made sure she didn't overwork herself and he met her up at lunch everyday.
Matthew and Delilah visited each other a lot. He hadn't been in touch with himself for quite some time now and the war had really impacted him. So when Delilah went to his place for dinner one day and me his possible girlfriend, she couldn't help but be a little relieved. He seemed to like her and Delilah was happy for him.
Percy and Audrey had a baby girl, named her 'Molly' after Percy's mother. After spending a lot of time with Audrey, Delilah felt more confident in herself.
Jesse had been pretty busy with his job as a healer. He had been working most of the time. He had very little time for himself but still managed to find his friends. No one knew how Jesse did it but he was always there despite his work load.
Connor had moved out of the country. He had moved to Greece, for some research apparently. His new found interest in herbology took him everywhere. His stay in Greece was supposed to be temporary but he seemed to have found his calling there because he hadn't returned in two months. They all still exchanged letters with pictures and souvenirs.
Alexander was, too, all over the place. He had been interning with none other than Newt Scamander and his son, Rolf. No one knew where he exactly was until he sent a letter telling them that he had moved again. Alexander enjoyed this unpredictable life but he really missed his friends. Unfortunately, work kept him far too busy to come home often.
Clarissa had been working on herself these past few days but one winter morning she went over to Delilah and Oliver's place with big news, "I have decided to move to Paris"
"What!? why?"
"Adeliene is there and I can't do this long distance. Plus we all should be a little adventurous!" she told them, "I don't have a stable job yet, and I think Paris will do me good. I really do love her and I can't wait to see her again. We're so busy in our lives, I barely even write to her anymore- It's a little impulsive- but it's not like I would never come back"Delilah and Oliver were happy for Clarissa but seeing another one of their friend leave to find adventure made them feel boring. "We are pathetic" Delilah told Oliver, "we are still in the same place we were five years ago just not in school anymore. We're always going to live this life with no adventure"
"That's not true, we aren't pathetic. In the past two years we got jobs, left jobs, joined new ones, got promoted, got married and now we're going to have a baby. We just have a different kind of adventure"
"But, don't you ever just want to go on a long trip and enjoy?"
"We don't need an 'adventure' to enjoy in life."Oliver had decided to learn how to cook from his mother. It was chaotic and disastrous but he had to do it. With Delilah balancing work and carrying a baby, someone had to be able to make food, that was the basic need for survival.
