"You've read that book over a hundred times", Carrie said walking in
"I'm bored, I'm not allowed to move because of my stitches and I don't have anything to draw on, so...", I shrugged
"Where did you get that from then?", she asked
"Miles", I responded and groaned because of America's stupidity
"You know, you both are alike. Having guys who would die for you, yet being to blind to notice", Carrie said and I raised an eyebrow. "You're not that blind to the extent where you can't see that both Terence and Miles are head over heels in love with you", I snorted at that
"Funny, you crack me up", I said sarcastically
"You really are that blind but never mind. You never answered me when I asked what your secret was", Carrie reminded
"It's not something I want to talk about", I said
"You're saying it like it's bad. Your life is rainbows and sunshine, its not like you were raped", she said and I shivered
"Oh My God! You were", she remarked. "Say something, would you?"
"Carrie, don't", Iris said and the next thing I knew, she was beside me hugging me
"You knew?", Carrie asked
"She's my cousin", Iris answered
"And she's my friend, we should have known. I'm guessing Tee doesn't know", she said
"And he will not find out until Desti decides to tell him", Iris said firmly not leaving space for any other thing to be said
"Fine, I have to go now. Mom wants me home for dinner anyway", she said and hugged me. "Bye, Ambs. Please take care", and kissed my forehead

"Honey", mom said
"We can't keep avoiding it, mom. I deserve to know", I said
"Destiny, when I feel like you have to know. You will know. You do not tell me what to do", mom said and stood up, straightened her black pencil skirt and walked out

"You can leave after a checkup", the doctor that couldn't treat me said
"Funny how you want to give me a checkup when you can't even operate on me", I said bitterly

So, for those of you who didn't know, I was in an accident which made my already damaged body from last year, get more damaged and my mother snapped at me. I'm starting to consider the fact that she might have a bipolar disorder, honestly, she's nice this second the next, she's acting psychotic. Whatever, her issue
"Why are you not with aunt and uncle?", Iris asked
"I think mom has a bipolar disorder", I answered
"And you don't?", she asked and I rolled my eyes as she parked the car behind a gray Lamborghini Urus with the plate number 'STARLIGHT'
"Thanks for the ride, Iris", I said and unbuckled my seat belt and dashed out of the car
"Be careful", she called out
"Will do!", I yelled
I do not want to ever see another hospital again. Now, to finding Noah

"Hey, Starlight", Noah said grinning at me and I rolled my eyes before sitting beside him on the garden swing
"Hi", I said kissing his cheek. "I'm not accepting the car", I added
"I'm not going to argue with you so I'm just going to tell you that you're going to", he said and I leaned my head on his shoulder and he rocked the swing back and forth and rain drizzled which is very unusual for California and he stood up gently
"Dance with me?", Noah asked holding his hand out
"It would be my pleasure", I said, taking his hand and played Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Ray
"I like being where you are." he whispered into my neck.
"Who doesn't?" I asked as he dipped me.
"I mean it, Amy. I love being around you, being able to hold and talk to you. This last week as been hell, just watching you sleep." he muttered into my ear making me shiver.
"That's good to know." I said trying to pass it off as if I didn't care but I'm screaming, squealing and jumping inside.
"I love you." he said.
"I know you do." I said.
"Not as a friend, Amy. I love you in the sense that it's beyond friendship." he said and my eyes widened.
"You don't mean that." I said.
"I mean it so so much, Amy", he said and leaned down and whispered against my lips. "I so badly want to kiss you right now"
"What's stopping you?", I asked losing myself in his emerald green eyes
"You're right, nothing is", he said and placed his lips on mine and kissed me till I felt dizzy
