Who are you?

We are born to think we are unbreakable
Just cause we never die
Until we do

We think everything is what we see
Don't think your life is any special
Cause one day you'll remember me

When all you had once
Is now ashes
And the people around you
Are now gone

What will you do?
Will you grieve the life you lost
Will you change your mind now
Or are you still too blinded to see
That there is no such thing as forever

Just cause you've been given a role
in this world
A pair of glasses to see
It doesn't mean you can't break character
Take off your glasses for once
Stop being this person that you were born to be
Get out of that box

Now look around you
How does the identity that you've been given
Make you different from anyone else?

Because maybe I can't see you
And you can't either
You can only assume of my age
My face and my gender
My skin colour and my weight
My body and my mental state

But I can only assure you of one thing
And that is that we were both given our identities
And our goal in this life
Is to change them and see the world
With the pair of eyes that we gained
Not the ones that we were once given

Growing up with the wrong pair of eyes
Doesn't mean there's not enough time
To make ones of your own

Cause some day
You'll end up in a tragedy
which will change
Your whole perspective
It will mess you up

And once that day comes
and you see
That you are as much temporary
as everyone else
It'll be too late

Because all you ever cared about
Was taking away the life of the people
who were born to be
someone they never chose to be
