It was always beautiful at Hogwarts, but it was winter that showcased the true beauty of Hogwarts.

The white snow would cover the castle, everybody enjoyed it, especially Delia. She saw the beauty in every season but she truly did love winter.

The way millions of billions of individual snowflakes fell, the way her pasty white cheeks would redden along with her small nose.
She adored the snowball fights, sticking her hand out to let little snowflakes melt immediately against her soft warm  hands.
Or the way everybody immediately started looking forward to Christmas the second the first snowflake fell from the sky.

It seemed to become a habit for the newfound couple to wake up entangled in each others arms.
Delia always woke up sporting a smile on her face, and with warm arms wrapped around her waist.

Delia truly was happy with draco, to ever think she despised him was absolutely insane to her now, She had developed strong feelings for the boy, this fact scared her slightly, as her insecurities plagued her mind.

She was worried he'd suddenly choose she was to poor, a bloodtraitor, she was no where near his level of beauty, she was no wealthy, prejudice, slytherin girl nor was she nearly as beautiful as any girl he could have gotten, but he'd been stuck with her.

It was now the first day of December, and the castle was immediately covered in Christmas decorations, christmas trees decorated with stunning ornaments lining the great hall, mistletoes hidden throughout the school, and excited students talked about their plans for the upcoming holiday break.

But most importantly, delia had to let her friends know that draco would be joining the Weasleys for Christmas.
Delia was excited to share the beauty of a Weasley Christmas with draco, she was well aware he'd never had a fun, family filled christmas.
but she was excited to show him the beauty of a weasleys christmas.

Delia brushed a fallen red curl that had fallen in her face before she prepared herself to make her announcement.

Nervously Delia cleared her throat to gather the attention of the golden trio and ginny,
they all curiously paused their conversations before looking to the nervous girl.

"So....as you know Christmas break is soon" delia stated playing with the hem of her skirt nervously as her siblings and friends curiously waited for her to continue, clueless as to what she was trying to say.
Delia's heartbeat quickened considerably fast, her palms became sweaty, and she bit her lip before she decided to spill the news
"Draco agreed to come over for Christmas" delia mumbled, but it was early in the morning, so it was rather calm in the great hall allowing the four to hear her quiet mumble.
At the news, the group all widened their eyes, delia was sure some flies had even flown into Ron's mouth with how far his jaw had dropped.
McGonagall curiously looked over to the gryffindor table when shrieks erupted from Ginny and protests began to loudly make their way from Harry's mouth.

"Guys, please."
"i know you aren't the biggest fan of him, but i need mum and dad to know he's changed..i need you to know hes changed" delia said to the group as she fiddled with a bread roll she had yet to eat, as she'd lost her appetite.

"Delia..he'll make fun of our house" ron protested nervously. Delia understood why he'd think that, he'd made comments on the weasleys house before, the group had no reason to believe Draco had changed.
"I know he hasn't treated us good, i know he has yet to redeem himself to you" delia paused for a moment as she sucked a breathe in before slowly releasing it "but give him a chance" her voice wavered as she looked down

Ron looked sympathetically towards his twin "he makes one comment he's leaving" ron said sighing as he gave into his twin.
Ginny nodded in agreement along with hermione but harry was hesitant as he sighed
Delia looked up to harry with her big soft eyes full of hope, as she pushed her bottom lip out, pouting.
"Fine" harry mumbled smiling softly at Delia.
Delia whooped softly happy that the four had agreed.

Delia walked through the hallways, the only sound being the padding of her feet as she clutched her leather schoolbag in her hand, her shoulders aching slightly from the heaviness of all her school books.
She was late to her class, due to the fact she'd forgotten her bag, and had to run all the way back to her dorm and all the way back to class, but gave up halfway through the journey.

Everybody noticed how different classes were now, nobody dreaded potions class anymore, solely because there was no prejudice professor to dread anymore.
Nobody walked to and from classes gossiping about potions class anymore, there was no curse to the dark arts position anymore. The teachers were different, there was no war. The war had ended and they were free. Free of Voldemort.

By the time delia arrived to class, their was only 20 minutes remaining

"Care to explain where you've been?" professor sprout asked
Delia looked down in embarrassment as everybody in the class stared at her and some Slytherin students snickered.
"I forgot my books" delia said hanging her head down as she clutched her books close to her in embarrassment
Professor sprout sighed before waving to the redhead to sit in her seat.
Delia sat in her seat and rolled her eyes when ted began to snicker
"You forgot your books?!" ted said trying not to laugh

"Shut up it was a long walk" delia mumbled rolling her eyes at ted as he began to snicker at her again

___________

"I wanna sleep this isn't fair" delia put her head dramatically down onto the table "youre so dramatic" ted rolled his eyes as he did his homework in the library with delia and bella.
"Im excited for the holidays, its only a little while more" bella said excitedly wiggling her eyebrows at delia.

Delia groaned dreading her parents reaction, it was due to be dreadful.

Ted dipped his quill into the ink pot and began writing on his parchment once more but continued the conversation with the two girls.
"Oh, im so scared you guys" she wailed keeping her eyes on the book she had in her lap, though she wasnt reading it,
thoughts consuming her poor head with terrible thoughts on how molly and Arthur would react to draco.
"Dont worry Delia sweetie, im sure once you talk things out it will be ok" bella rubbed delias back soothingly
knowing how bad her parents and brothers would react.
Delia smiled softly, she was so thankful to have such caring friends that were there for her.
"Thank you guys" Delia said smiling at ted and bella "no problem, we should probably head to our dorms its getting late" ted said as he looked to the clock.
The two girls agreed, and the three began packing up there things and bid goodnight as they made there way to bed.
