１２. ᴬ ᵈᵃⁿᶜᵉ, ᵃⁿᵈ ˢʰᵒᵖᵖⁱⁿᵍ*

It was a calm day during breakfast when headmaster McGonagall walked up to announce something.

"Attention students" McGonagalls stern voice called out causing everybody to pause their conversations and curiously look up to the headmaster.
"We lost many in the war, and you all fought hard, and in celebration of a new carefree, war free time. we will be holding a ball December 15th, before you all go home for the holidays" McGonagall

The great Hall immediately bursted with excited students, girls were chatting excitedly, and boys were already planning who they'd ask, it was truly exciting to each and every student, as many had never experienced a ball at hogwarts, and the last was a long while ago.

"You know what this means...dont you ladies?" bella said smirking when none of the girls answered she mischievously looked at each one of them "DRESS SHOPPING!!" bella squealed excitedly as the girls began to excitedly whoop.
"Hopefully ron gets some better dressrobes" hermione whispered to the girls as they all began snickering
as they recalled the ghastly robes Ronald wore to the yule ball way back when.

"And you girls hadn't worry about prices, as you know my mother owns a shop with everything we'll ever need for the ball" bella stated mainly towards delia and ginny, as it was no secret the Weasley family was no wealthy pure blood family.

Delia smiled thankfully to her best friend
"Thank you so much bell, you've no idea how much this means" delia shakily said as she pulled bella into a tight hug.

"But seriously if ron shows up in ancient robes again im finding a new date" hermione says as the girls all burst into laughter, clutching their stomaches at the memory, tears of laughter in the corners of the girls eyes "i-i i ca-" ginny wheezed out not able to complete her sentence as the odor and image in the girls head of the ancient dress robes were to hilarious.
"They really were ancient" delia laughed out
"They smelled ancient" bella snorted slapping her knee
"N-stop-i-i cant its-its to much-" ginny accidentally fell off the bench in laughter making the girls laugh even harder if possible.

"What the bloody hell is up with you guys" ron questioned as he sat down next to Hermione
The girls looked to one another silently agreeing not to bully ron for his ancient dressrobes, as he'd had nothing else.
"Nothing, fancy a donut?" Ginny said as she took a bite from one of many donuts that were piled up on a silver tray upon the Gryffindor table
"No...ill just stick with..sausage" ron said warily looking for a sign from the girls
"Well, the next hogsmeade trip is soon" bella wriggled her eyebrows to the girls
"And by soon i mean its today so chop chop eat your breakfast, were having a girls trip no boys" bella clapped her hands together as hermione and Ginny smiled excitedly.
although Delia very much so did not like shopping, even if she didn't do it often.
she knew it was something she disliked.

Delia groaned grabbing blueberry muffins from a silver tray and stuffing them in her mouth chewing slowly as to maybe delay the long day ahead.

Bella narrowed her eyes towards her redheaded friend "you aren't stalling!" Bella said as she clasped her hands together "were heading to Hogsmeade girls lets go" she dragged Delia up off the bench. Delia groaned frowning "noooo i don't wannaaaa" Hermione rolled her eyes at her friend "might as well get it done now then later" Hermione stated as a matter or factly causing delia to roll her eyes when all the the girls nodded their heads, agreeing with the know-it-all girl.
"Fine" delia said crossing her arms as they huddled together walking down the gray, cobble stoned path to hogsmeade that was covered in snow, as well as everything else at hogwarts due to the snow that fell gracefully from the sky.

"I was thinking white or..defenitely white would really compliment Delia's flaming red hair and pale skin" bella said as she squinted to the girls, like her mom she was very into fashion and knew what would fit perfectly and clash with each girl.

Bella's mothers shop was no ordinary shop, it was extravagant. Only the most rich of families dared go in, as the products were very expensive.
The dresses, shoes, accessories were all a certain style, royal.
The girls were lucky to have a friend of such wealth, one whos mother would lend anything to her daughter and friends free of charge.

"Bloody hell" Delia said as the four girls walked into the store "its...wow" Hermione covered her mouth, bella smirked "well dont just stand there we've got shopping to do!!" bella said excitedly
"Now..ginny look for mint green colors, it really suits you. Hermione, id say a pale pink? Yes? Yes. I'll do a blue and delia oh my sweet baby all grown up. you definitely do a white" bella ordered the girls as they all four began to scavenge for dresses, obviously in the color bella gave them as the girl was a fashion expertise.

A hour later, the four girls met up at the changing rooms with a pile of dresses each to try on. "Okay, Ginny you're first" ginny spent an hour alone trying on dresses, then hermione, bella, and delia going last.
By the end of the shopping trip the girls were all complete exhausted and ready to sleep.
