"You know we'll not stop until we get this resolved, right?"
They were already back home at Jiyong's place. He was caressing her arm while they were seated on the sofa, her head placed on his shoulder.
She remained silent.
They ended up with nothing after visiting Grandpa Gyu's place.
"I'll never let your sister hurt you, Dara. If only I can take your place so you won't suffer like this." Jiyong sighed, burdened with the heavy feeling of uncertainty.
"Jiyong..."
"Hmmm?"
"I'm sorry."
"What do you have to say sorry for?" He asked, giving her a light kiss on her forehead.
"Dragging you to all these craziness. If you didn't meet me, you won't be bothered by this problem. You would be living the happy life you had before I came."
He chuckled, holding her by her shoulders to let her face him. "And who said I'm not happy? I'm the happiest when I'm with you. I'm lucky to have met you. You filled up the life I have that was previously empty."
She looked him in the eyes and just stared at them.
"Am I too handsome that you can't get enough of me?" He asked to lighten up the mood.
She smiled while she lovingly stared at him although her lips were trembling. She tried her best to stop herself from crying. She didn't want to show Jiyong her weak side anymore. She realized Jiyong has already put all efforts in making her feel okay when all she did was to sulk and pity herself.
"You're too handsome I just want you for my self."
"Well, My Love. The handsomest man alive, Jiyong Kwon, is yours to keep." He pinched her cheek and showered her with little kisses around her lips.
She chuckled, holding both his cheeks to stop him from what he's doing. "I love you." She lovingly said.
"I love you, too. I love you more. I'll love you 'til eternity."
She slid her hands around his neck and closed the distance between their lips. She kissed her passionately to which Jiyong returned with the same intensity. They were breathless after the long kiss.
"I'll never stop wanting those lips, Dara." Jiyong teased seductively.
"I wish we can stay like this forever. I hate to spoil the moment though but, Chae would be coming anytime soon." She giggled.
Jiyong sighed, but, instead of keeping their distance, pulled her in his arms for a hug.
"Dara, what do you think of the idea of marrying me?"
She chuckled. "Is that a proposal?" She asked, snaking her arms around his waste.
"I was thinking of a sweeter way to propose. I want it to be very romantic, something that may bring you to tears because you're so touched by the gesture, but I guess there's no better time to do it but tonight."
Dara's face looked confused after Jiyong pulled out of the hug and took something from his pocket.
"I wanna spend my whole life protecting you, Dara... shower you with love. You made me complete the moment you came into my life. I wouldn't ask for more but really just to have you in my life for as long as we both shall live."
"Jiyong..."
He showed her a simple but yet elegant diamond ring.
"Will you marry me, Dara?"
She covered her mouth in awe, not expecting what Jiyong just did.
"Are you okay with being Mrs. Kwon?" He asked, little nervous of what she would respond.
Dara smiled sweetly as tears rolled down her cheeks. "Of course, I'm happy to be called Mrs. Kwon."
Tears also escaped Jiyong's eyes but he was quick to wipe them dry before he reached out her hand to slide the perfect fitting ring on her finger.
"No more backing out. You just said YES." He jokingly said.
She chuckled while he wiped her tears.
"I love you, Dara." He said, lovingly staring at her as he caress her cheek.
"Love you." She replied and gave him another quick kiss on his lips.
"I hope you like the ring."
She proudly wiggled her fingers, wanting to show him how the ring fits hers perfectly. "Lovely!" She exclaimed.
"Glad you liked it." He said, kissing her on her temple.
"Can't wait to show it to everyone." She giggled.
"There'll be no other reason we'll be apart. Nothing can separate us this time."
Upon hearing what Jiyong said, memory of what happened to Grandpa Gyu's place flashed back on her head.
'Yoona...' She thought.
"What's with the creased forehead?"
Dara was pulled back from her thoughts after feeling Jiyong's fingers massaging her forehead.
"Just thinking how to tell Chae once she gets back." She smiled sweetly at him.
"I'm sure she would comment how unprepared I was doing the proposal."
She chuckled. "No matter how extravagant or simple it was, it's still the most romantic proposal for me. And, I got this." She, again, proudly waved the hand where the ring sits.
She then jumped on Jiyong to give him a tight hug, causing him to fall on the sofa. He immediately placed his arms around her waist to avoid her from falling on the floor.
Feeling comfortable, Dara rested her head on his chest while she hear Jiyong's heartbeat slowly evened out.
They stayed on the same position until both were cradled to sleep by their synchronized breathing.
