TWO

I opened my eyes and studied my surrounding before I sat up on my bed.

"I knew it! It was just a dream." I exclaimed after finding out that I was alone inside my room.

Just when I was about to step out of my room, I noticed a pair of feet at the foot of my bed. Slowly, I tiptoed near the owner of the feet who sat up and stretched her arms while yawning.

"I thought I was just dreaming earlier." I reacted after seeing her.

She stood up and straighten her crumpled smock white long sleeves dress. "Didn't I tell you earlier that this is not a dream?"

"Can't you, at least, give me some privacy?" I was a little angry.

"Sorry." She crinkled her nose. "I was just worried you might not feel well if I stay outside... Remember what I told you about the need for us to stay together all the time?"

"I don't think it means you, staying inside my room at all times." I half-raised my voice.

I heard a knock after which was followed by the opening of the door where Nana Minjung appeared.

Nana Minjung is my loving Nanny who's been with us since years ago, even before I was born. She's the most trusted person our family have. She comes to my flat every Wednesdays and Sundays to clean my place and sometimes prepare homemade food.

"Are you okay in here? I heard you were talking to someone." She asked.

I looked at Dara who was shaking her head while mouthing, "She can't see me."

"Are you talking on the phone with a girl again?" Nana Minjung teased. "Go and fix yourself so we can eat dinner before I go." 

"Nana Minjung..."

"Yes?" She responded before she stepped out of my room.

"Can you feel something?... Like a presence?"

She chuckled. ""Are you keeping a woman in here?"

"No! That's not what I mean." I defensively reacted.

"Jiyong, you probably are just hungry. Don't let the food wait." She told me then left the room.

I turned my attention back to Dara. "We'll talk later." I pointed a finger at her and quickly stepped inside my walked inside my walk-in closet to change after. I also had to wash my face to freshen up a little bit before I headed to the dining area to eat dinner with Nana Minjung.

I bid goodbye to Nana Minjung and closed the door before I turned my attention to Dara who was seated on the couch in the living room.

"We're setting house rules." I told her while I stand in front of her with hands placed on my waist.

"Have I done something wrong?"

I sighed after seeing her innocent look. "How far can we be apart?" I toned down my voice.

"I'm not sure."

"Let's test things first then we'll set the rules."

She smiled then nodded.

"Stay right there." I instructed then left the living room to head towards my bedroom.

I tried to wait for a few minutes to see if something will happen... Nothing did.

I went back to where she was. "I think we're good with you staying in the other room instead of mine... Please do not enter my room without my permission. I need to have my privacy."
