Luke's first semiconscious thought was that it smelled horrible.
His second was that he couldn't feel his legs.
As his brain tried to jumpstart itself into thinking coherently again, Luke's entire body felt either nonexistent or like lead, unable to feel or move any of it. He felt as if he was sinking into the ground but also as light as a feather, and also so dizzy he couldn't really tell if his body even existed anymore or if he was just...
Luke faded back into unconsciousness with the word dead lingering in the back of his mind.

Yoda... Dagobah system...
Luke was floating.
Wait, no, being carried.
The next thing he felt was a suffocating blanket of warmth being thrown over him, and he was laid gently down onto something hard.
Now that Luke's body was warming up so was his mind. He now was starting to regain control of his face, bit by bit. A small cough escaped him and a flurry of violent shivers racked his body as they passed through.
"...ang on, kid... lmo... ere." Luke heard the voice as if it was speaking to him from underwater, but he recognized the tone almost immediately. It was Han.
"...you hear me? Luke?" Luke felt a hand on his shoulder now, only because of the warmth it gave him. His ears were definitely functioning more clearly now; he was about to break the surface of the water.
Han's voice bombarded his eardrums. "Luke?" He called again, wincing as a bump in the landspeeder terrain jostled the young man a bit. Luke felt a sharp stab of pain through his face and moaned lightly, his eyelids flickering. Han turned to the pilot. "Step on it."

The next time Luke awoke he landed on a solid surface with a thud, then it started moving. Stabs of pain lit up his body, but fortunately his ears worked perfectly even when nothing else did. "Easy, easy!" He heard Han snap.
"We have to get him to the medbay quickly, Captain." Whoever else was talking sounded apologetic.
"Luke?" Luke's heart skipped a beat at the tone he heard in his sister's voice. He wanted to reach out, to grab her hand and tell her he was alright, but couldn't find the strength to do it. The most he could manage was fluttering his eyes open for a split second and seeing her worried brown eyes skimming his right above him while the lights passed behind them.
"He'll be okay." That was Han's voice.
"He has blood... All over him." Leia. "What happened?"
"I dunno, that was there when I got to him." Han.
"Well whatever it was it...tay...a...ture..."

Now Luke was floating, that he was definitely sure of. He immediately became aware of a breathing apparatus in his mouth and the warmish feeling of liquid around him.
Something zapped him enough to jar him completely out of his trapped mental state. Luke's eyes snapped wide open to reveal nothing but a blur, but the liquid rushing at his now vulnerable eyes and the breathing apparatus implied he was in a bacta tank. He was slowly lifted out and set down onto a large soft pad, the medical droid racing to detach him from everything.
The apparatus was removed, and he coughed a bit. The droid's head snapped towards him and he lifted a hand slightly. "I'm alright." He replied, his voice raspy. It sounded almost detached, as if it didn't belong to him.
